Everyone I let use my 3401 never had a problem with it and they did not have prior ecpierence with the Flex, most didn't have expierence with any polisher. It's not a difficult polisher to use but I suspect some may have different expectations. It's not the end all be all but most who buy it appreciate it.

Mike's video is a fair representation. Granted he is the guru of polishers but time after time he has had newbies help out with car projects and they get the hang of it pretty quick. I suspect you would too.

Forced rotation provides consistent pad rotation which is very efficient. I've never heard anyone complain about having too much power.
 
The 3401 isn't hard to control on horizontal panels. Vertical panels is a whole different ball game, especially if there are sharp curves.
 
well the Flex is ordered so I will find out how it is very soon.
 
I swear I have never been so happy to open a box in my life...This thing was packaged perfectly and I am so excited!

I didn't order any wax and I was wondering if there were any over the counter waxes that are good to use until I can order some "better" wax off the internet?
 
I have the Machine Super Sealant from Adam's, so I will just put that on until I can decide which wax I want to order...so many choices.
 
Get the Collinite 476s, it's a good starter wax.

Then you'll have waterless wash carnauba you can top etc... Lol
 
I purchased the Flex 3401 about 3 years ago.. after using it, my porter cable was demoted to carpet scrubber. In my opinion, the Flex is a much better tool all around and I use it daily.
 
If you're looking to save time, the Flex will will definitely speed things up. Night and day difference betwen the two...
 
Well I didn't waste much time, and jumped right on the Tahoe as soon as I got a minute this weekend. I didn't get before pictures (I was too excited to start) but let me just say that it was beat. It has been outside it's whole life, driven by my wife for the last 3.5 years, and definitely wasn't taken care of cosmetically.

I am very impressed with the results and it was much faster than I thought it would be. I am sure that I went a little faster than I should have (some deep scratches just didn't come out), but from what I can tell there are NO swirls in the paint and it looks amazing.

Complaints - I do feel like eventually I will end up getting a polish with a little more cut, but for now it worked great. The only real problem I had is that I couldn't get the Correcting Polish to stop dusting...It could have been technique, it could have been that it was 94 degrees outside with 40-50% humidity.

No telling, but everyone that has seen it so far is in awe of the paint and I love it. Well here are the pictures guys

Just re read this and wanted to clarify that the "Note" part is for other members not you DirtyBlackHoe. (Your name makes me laugh, reminds me of Grape Drink and Chuy Proof lol) :)
