Really???

Wow Monica, before AND AFTER the Dragon, that's hardcore and over the top. I know you said you run your car hard to and from work and frequent changes make sense there for sure, IIRC you said you had a short ride to work. Now, I don't wanna sound "pushy" but you should have your oil tested right after the Dragon, will give you a good idea where that oil "really" is and can save you some money with that extra oil change, more money to spend here, LOL!

Schmuck: "Hey you really need 'Item X, it's the best product for your car! All others are obsolete and trash"

Kitty: "Hey Mr. Schmuck, I appreciate you wanting to look out for me and recommending 'Item X' for my car. Tell me, since you're such the expert, what makes say, 'Item X paint polish greater than the paint polish I now use? Are they proprietary formulas or are they just products made in bulk then private labeled?"

Schmuck: "Umm, I dunno. All I know is they make my car look so good and shiny...and it smells good! Oh and check out 'Item X' Limited Edition wax that cost $250.00! Is that not the coolest container?"

Kitty: "$250!? You paid $250 for a jar of wax and solvents? Wow, saw you coming.

Schmuck: "For your info this is 100% Brazilian carnauba!"

Kitty: "For your info no wax is '100% carnauba' cause then you would be rubbing a brick over your paint. Don't you know that car wax is just an oil layer that rests or sits on your paint which quickly evaporates in a few weeks? The highest concentration of carnauba within a wax product might be in the 60% range and even then that's mixed usually with beeswax or paraffin wax. The rest is solvents. So you paid $250 for most likely 30% Brazilian carnauba, some other waxes and a reducing/carrier solvent totaling about $20, but that sweet container I guess might be worth the extra $230, ya think?

What you want is a polymer paint sealant as it bonds to your paint on a molecular level. See, wax does not bond to paint, it lays on top like an oil. Use wax as a 'beauty enhancer' after it's been properly corrected and first sealed with a good polymer sealant."

Schmuck: "Um, yeah. Oh I think I have a phone call coming in, see ya"

One of their forum mods posted up that a guy acquiring a used Corvette should show the former owner his old car after he gets Adam's stuff on it. Former owner is a Zaino person. Just the mentality I saw in that one post lost them a Flex sale. Both I consider premium products, he wouldn't be "one-upping" for sure. I'll just stick to my Klasse twins and be happy. I do have Americana, and I'm happy with it I guess. It goes on easy, comes off easy. I have no other experience with 70+ dollar waxes though. I still prefer CG BWW over anything since I wax frequently. If that was made into a hard paste I'd be on it like white on rice.

This made me laugh out loud here at work :laughing::laughing:

Hey I use Amsoil!

If you don't, it's just because you're an idiot...

Kidding! I use Amsoil because empirical data I've found suggests it's the best product for what I intend to use it for (frying potatoes, if you must know. Hehe, kidding). But yeah, I know a LOT of Amsoil 'cultists'. They often argue with me because I refuse to admit to them that I run Amsoil as well! LOL.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Most people don't know I use it either.

If you listen, after the bumper is torn off. They say to polish it. lol

Don't worry Mike- I usually do. I just ignored what he said.

Trust me, if you knew this guy it would not surprise you... he has an opinion for everyone and everything.
My car doesn't impress him- it's just a slow 4-cyl car.
He drives an SRT8.
It's always big words from a 32 year-old who still lives with his parents and pays someone to detail his car 90% of the time.

Oh, living with his MOMMY..... That is the problem right there!

My little brother (by 11 years) was the same way. Everything HE had was the best, because SOMEONE TOLD HIM SO. That is before he killed himself by doing so many drugs that sepsis sat in and his organs shut down. No loss there!

I still like taking him outside to show him your new 'shine' and have him say how good it is, thinking it's Adams, then you whip out a bottle of Pinnacle, or Menzerna, or Meguiar's, or Blackfire.... anything but Adams.

Well no offense to you or anyone here whom used Amsoil but over the years I've noticed that people whom use Amsoil think its the best thing out there and/or try and convert you and get you to buy from them, kinda like Amway people, their products are the best but its all about getting people to become distrubutors rather than to buy the product, classic pyramid scheme, that's where. Amsoil people are different.

And add Shaklee to that bunch.

I was working in retail (way back when) and cut my finger really bad, REALLY bad. Stupid me, I'd sharpened my Buck knife to where it'd shave you, and it closed up on my finger.

So the store manager had a guy take me to the hospital. We go to the car, blood dripping off my elbow, and before he could get out of the parking lot he had to grab his bottle of vitamins to "give him a boost". Then it was his CB radio to tell everyone that was listening to CLEAR THE ROAD! I $hit you not!!! He told them that he had a guy with "his finger cut half off" and to clear the road, make room, he was coming up 85. Meanwhile, I was like; "Jeb, can we go now, I'm starting to feel light headed.":awman:
