Review & How-To: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Paint Coating

Soooooooooo, I get back from my route about 45 minutes ago and drive over to my car to check out the hood and guess what....no more spots, LOL. Now yesterday it was just as sunny but maybe a little cooler, so maybe the added warmth helped out. I guess I just have to wait for the temps to warm up, stay warm and bake that beeotch

The lessons learned here will benefit those who step up to this product in the future!

I think those were high spots from excess solvents not fully cured. I know it happens with some coatings. Also since you're using pbmg coating, a bottle of black label coating detailer would help when you coat with those since it shares similar solvents and will remove high spots or excess solvents.

So your saying PBL spray detailer knocks down high spots? I didn't even know Pinnacle was a PBMG brand, pretty observant guy I am 😋

It knocks down high spots on the woldgang, black label and mckee 37 coatings. Those are the ones it works on.

Since the rash has reappeared every morning and basically gone away in about 2 hrs I was going to throw this out to the group. I was thinking about making up N914 in the paint prep ratio (8:1) and wipedown the hood. My thinking is simple, wipe away the solvents that some say are causing this but keeping the coating in tact, what do you guys think?

Re: Review & How-To: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Paint Coating

Take a look Sunday? I don't think N914 will get rid of high spots even if straight up.

Thank you for the advice Kevin. By the way I have a nice gift bag of stuff coming your way Sunday too

I made up N914 at the 8:1 ratio (water/product) and cleaned the entire car last night because it was dusty and I have Supercar Saturday this morning. Maybe this helped level things out, I will find out in a couple hours.

Roger, take us back to after application. We're you pretty confident that everything was leveled? Did you wash your car (waterless, rinseless, otherwise) or did it get wet in the first 24 hours? Damp garage?

Didn't get it wet, it sat all day the following day and was driven on Monday, Memorial Day. As far as the garage being damp, don't know for sure.

The N914 mixed to paint prep level didn't prevent any spots from reappearing this morning. I was able to use my Ech2o WW and some elbow grease to get rid of most but a couple I had to use my Optimum Hyper Polish and light buff.

Looks like the PBL detailer is in my future...or maybe the coating booster instead....thoughts?

*EDIT*

It did keep most of the hood and front butt ones from reappearing, sorry about that.

Tonight will be an Ech2o RW in preparation for Rise and Drive Cars and Coffee tomorrow, stay "tuned" 🇮🇹

If you apply a pbmg coating, the detailer is almost a must have just in case you have high spots you didn't see, especially I'd you don't have the best light set up. I would wait for it to cure foe the next day before you use the detailer for the high spots.

It's been 1 week since I applied the coating. I wish I hadn't applied that 2nd coat and/or applied less to the provided applicator. I've used Gloss Coat in the past on 3 of my buddy's rides without a problem!

So I just see this "limited edition" booster for coated cars and its $150.00....more than the actual coating, I don't get it, LOL!

Weird, all I see by Gyeon are their compounds and polishes. I did get an email earlier today for a Gyeon booster product.
