Review & How-To: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Paint Coating

I just looked, it includes the coating also. It's a coating and booster kit.

Personally, I'd get the booster if anything and use Wolfgang Uber Rinseless wash in detailer concentration as my spray detailer. I'm pretty happy with the WGUWW.

Here's what I was thinking, use the booster after Iron remover once a year, giving it the boost and filing qualities that booster seems to give.

I have WGU, OWW+, N914, Ech2o and Turtle Wax RW's in my collection.

Wow, you have quite the collection of RR's. I only have WGU and ONR. One gallon of each.

I think that is a good plan, you could also do every 6 months also. I get the feeling my coating is going to be a yearly thing, but who knows.

You think the WGU ceramic coating can handle chemical decon every 6 monthes?

FYI you can use the coating booster as often as you like.

Well at $40.00 a pop it's going to used after every chemical decon only.

I'm resisting using my FrankenDetailer as a booster since its acrylic based and I don't wanna interfer with the coating properties.

A little goes a long way. The little bottle lasts awhile. You could go every month with no issues.

Ech2o is always another option.

It's funny you bring up Ech2o because I was going to make a booster type product using a 10:1 ratio and use it once a month. Probably overkill so maybe every other month. I really wanna trust in the coating this time around and don't wanna "cheat" too much.

I think I would only do the chemical decontamination once a year and booster every 3 - 6 months if it were me. I've had the coating on my non daily driver for 6 months now and haven't used a booster or anything beyond rinseless washes with the WGURR, but I recognize the differences between DD and a car sitting in a garage.

Great advice C5, I think the booster every 3 monthes is sound advice, as well as chemical decon every 6 monthes and in my case the decon would be around Thanksgiving. My booster application would be around Labor Day weekend.

What do you think about the 10:1 ratio for a booster (10 parts distilled water and 1 part Ech2o)

I remember awhile back someone posting something about mixing ECH2O 20:1 and then adding an ounce or two of Reload. Was thinking about this the other day, and would like to find out exactly how much Reload they added.

What is Reload exactly? Does it work with coatings?

I honestly don't have any experience with a booster. I have been thinking about the same thing but so far haven't pulled the trigger on any of them. Topping coatings is a controversial topic. I recall a big thread on it in the Detail 101 section.

Found at least one mention of what I was talking about, check out post #9. FWIW I put Wolfgang coating on my car the first week of July 2016. I played around with a few things for the hell of it. Held up great for the winter, this year I am only using products with coatings in mind. In late April, I put a coat of Essence Plus on, wanted to check it out. It seemed to amp it up a bit. Then a couple weeks ago I hit it with Hydro Blue, I love this stuff. That's what I have used for boosters.

I have ECH2O cut with water and Gyeon Cure at 10:1:1 and it's quite nice as a drying aid and "topper."

What are you guys using to wash your cars once you have applied the Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Coating has been applied? Autobathe?

So far, I'm using either Wolfgang Uber Waterless Wash or ONR. I've been very happy with both.
