Review: Hybrid V7 by Chemical Guys

Thanks for the review. I've considered purchasing some, but I think it will wait until next year, because, as you know it's getting to a point in the Northeast that you cannot do much outdoors especially in the cold. I live in a condo, too. Nosy neighbors and haters.

What I mean by that is, if you have a wax that leaves crazy perfectly round beads (like a Dodo Juice wax) and you wipe down with V7, next wash you tend to notice the crazy round circular beads have turned more into large random shapes/puddles.



Next time I wax, I'll coat half the hood with V7 and make a video to demo this phenomena.

I've noticed this exact phenomena. The v7 doesn't bead very well. More like blobs. It's very odd why it does this. This is the only product that does this. Sonax detailer, CG synthetic, CG QD makes tight beads.
 
I just wanted to put my two cents in for anyone wanting to give CG Hybrid V7 a try. I use it as a QD and have stopped using any others. The shine is amazing. AG is not selling it by the gallon right now. I sent them an email asking them to stock it, but did not get a reply, so I had to go to go to CG a get a gallon. I hate CGs website, but they had a great sale after the Super Bowl and I got it at a good price. AG and Autopia sometime have a 27% or 28% coupon for CG items and that is how I got V7 originally.
 
V7 rinses off after one rain shower...I used to have pics showing before and after rain and I was so bummed when it happened(I was like, what a crappy sealant)...anyway. No durability whatsoever, and if you want a product that evaps as quickly just buy UPWW+ It wipes as easily, but you get a rinsles, waterless, lube, and detailer all in one.
 
I like V7 too but it is nothing more than a quick detailer, CG calling it a sealant is a real stretch. I do however like BF WDPS better, they are both very close in my opinion.

AG does indeed carry it by the gallon:

I have used it on top of Butter Wet Wax and still had tight beading. Also, you can cut it 1:1 and it still works great.
 
A month ago AG did not sell the gallons, so I bought a couple of gallon for me and give out samples to my buddies. They love if except on camo trucks, just toooo shiny. I will accept all donations of V7 and pay the shipping. Thanks brothers.
