What's the price tag? Or did I miss that?
David
Meghan quoted $369.00 on another thread.
From the way you're holding the machine, it appears, the machine spins counter clockwise as viewed from the top in the forced rotation mode. So?
RSW
Is think it spins clockwise in both modes. I don't see why they would have it spin counter in random; all that's happening is the gear lock is released.spins clockwise in forced, and appears to spin counter clockwise in freespin mode
i'm curious if in the free spinning mode if it bogs down very easily. if so, the forced rotatiom aspect alone may not be worth it the upgrade if one owns a flex 3401 already...
Correct $369.99 and we will have it offered with some great savings along with pads as well.
It looks like it bogged pretty easily when Mike used it. The fact Rupes went with a 5mm orbit on their new machine really has me wondering. They could have easily went with 8mm like the 3401. Does the smaller orbit + higher OPM = faster correction??i'm curious if in the free spinning mode if it bogs down very easily. if so, the forced rotatiom aspect alone may not be worth it the upgrade if one owns a flex 3401 already...

I think with forced rotation, it's not the same comparison. I could be wrong.it's kinda like the debate where you would use the traditional pc-style DA and a long throw on the same flat surface and let them both run max at the same speed. as many said before, the long throw would have the advantage because of it's throw in which i was thinking that the shorter throw with more opm's would make up for it...

I wonder if this polisher pulls on you like the Flex 3401.
