Review - Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish

Anyone seeing any particular dust attraction qualities? Does it tend to be a dust magnet?

Check out Wills and Dani's first impression video, they highlight a nice dust repellency characteristic Fast Finish has on the paint!

It's been quite dusty here lately. Noticed no dust accumulation the day after I used it with the car sitting over night. Only thing I noticed is my allergies acting up lol.

Thanks. I was just about to post this video as well.

Well written review. Thank you for being very descriptive.

So no UV protection? And for a car that sits outside 365 days a year I seriously doubt claims of 12 months. 2 maybe.

According to Nick Winn Product and Training Specialist at Meguiars all of Meguiars wax's and protectants protect against the sun. :xyxthumbs:

I bought me some today to try out.

I just did a rinseless on the vehicle I used the Fast Finish on in early march. This stuff has held up amazingly well. It's even still beading solidly on the lower 1/3 of the vehicle where products usually degrade really quickly due to all the winter road chemicals in this part of the country. This has been through multiple snows, rains, touchless drive through washes, daily driving, and here we are two months out from application and it's beading like day one. This stuff has really surprised me.

I have Ultimate Liquid and Ultimate Paste. Is this the same formulation? I am quite satisfied with both the liquid and paste, the paste being the most cost-effective. This seems like it could be expensive in the long run, especially in comparison to the paste.

Different formulation.

Ultimate fast finish is Meguiar's longest lasting form of protection.

If ultimate wax is working for you then I say keep using it. It's a great product.

I have a bunch of Ultimate (liquid) Wax, and I just grabbed a few bottles of the UFF to try out.

I'd like to utilize both products together. Which is the preferred method of application when using both of them?

UW down first, topped by UFF, or UFF down first, topped by UW???

Regardless of the application order, I plan to use UQW/D156 for weekly maintenance.

Despite having a bunch of ULW, the price and the reviews on the new UFF is too good not to try.
Every review I've seen has been glowing. And it appears that you can do more than one application per bottle.
I managed to find a few bottles of UFF for under $10 each, at that price it's too cheap not to try out on our daily drivers.

This should help you out. Link can be found here

Overall we recommend using Ultimate Fast Finish by itself in place of your wax, or as your final Last Step Product (LSP), topping your favorite liquid or paste wax, to lock in the benefits of your favorite liquid or paste wax which was applied. But yes! A third way if you prefer, Ultimate Fast Finish can be applied, allowed to cure, and then followed with your favorite liquid or paste wax.

Hope this helps! - Nick

Based on our testing, applying your favorite coat of liquid or paste wax first, and then applying Ultimate Fast Finish, does not affect the durability. In fact, the product was actually designed to be applied this way if the users wishes to do so (or by itself).

Just FYI - was in Wally World earlier and UFF was only $12.99. I was going to pick a kit up to try but decided against it as I have other products at home already that I should use up first

Forgive what may appear to be a silly question...my exterior detailing experience has been limited to using Meguiar's 3-step Crystal products and a starter DA orbital kit from Griot's polish and wax. I've recently purchased Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, Polish, and Wax products. I keep reading that the Ultimate Wax is a sealant. Would I want to use the Ultimate Finish product and then apply the Ultimate wax? This is for a 2006 300C SRT8 with paint that is veyr good shape and is also a daily driver.

TIA for any tips or suggestions using this UFF product along with the Ultimate Wax.

See my previous post #73. To answer your question ultimate wax is a sealant as it is synthetic in nature.

Thanks. I read that post and didn't realize that it answered my question, lol.

Lastly, how has everyone's experience been with dust. I've seen some comments above, but am still confused. I find that after using Griots liquid wax that dust seems to stick so much. Thanks, again...

I picked up some gold class carnuba plus and the ultimate fast finish. My car has been polished recently
So I'm going to just apply gold class and use the ultimate fast finish as the last step.

Ech2o and reload... yikes.
So I did notice that when I use ech2o there quite a bit of dusting but I live in the desert so that's pretty average, but I also just read the post by Nick Winn and makes me want to try those as a topper over other LSPs just for a dust Shield. Yeah I'm doing that today, it's happening
