Review: Menzerna SF-4000

Black foam pads with SF 4500 are a good combination. Whether it provides a "better" result is depending on technique, and other conditions. Matching the correct pad and polish is only half the equation.

Would anyone consider using SF-4000 on a brand new car prior to sealant and wax?

I've seen a few people recommending a polish just after pick up to really give a nice pop and then applying product to layer on after. (Ammo guy specifically)

Yes absolutely

Yes, without a doubt!

Yes, absolutely. First hand knowledge. Followed it with 476S a year ago. BTW, 476S rocks! And so does the Menz, of course.

Peace,

The BlackFire twins as well as the Wolfgang twins are made by Menzerna. They are identical to SI1500 and SF4000.
I think BF SRC Compound(newest formula) has more cut than SI1500. If they are exact formulas, this would be re-labeling at its best. Nick told me BF polishes are not re-labeled polishes. They very well could be made by Menzerna, but with different specifications.

So start with SF-3500 (new SF-4000) with a LC flat white pads, apply Power Lock with blue (ordered 2 to keep for this sealant as I heard cleaning is hard) and then apply Color Lock with the blacks?

Just my opinion- two coats of PL (ensuring even app) would be better than one coat of PL and one coat of CL.
