I finally found a moment where the wife and kids weren't all screaming at me simultaneously (Just kidding! Kind of.....) to try out the somewhat new Menzerna USA Top Finish Machine Glaze.
From autogeek.net :
Menzerna Top Finish Machine Glaze
Dual action glaze removes light swirl marks, and fills in deeper ones!
Menzerna Top Finish Machine Glaze is a lightly abrasive finishing glaze that is designed to polish away minor imperfections while masking deeper ones. Formulated using an advanced blend of diminishing abrasives and durable fillers, Menzerna Top Finish Machine Glaze creates the appearance of a 100% swirl-free finish. Menzerna Top Finish Machine Glaze is body shop safe.
Menzerna Top Finish Machine Glaze is a true glaze by definition because it has incredibly filling abilities; deep swirl marks and holograms are easily masked by the durable fillers in Top Finish Machine Glaze. To make Top Finish Machine Glaze an even more effective glaze, Menzerna added diminishing abrasives. These ultra fine diminishing give Top Finish Machine Glaze just enough cut to remove light swirl marks, allowing the fillers to focus on the deeper ones.
If you’re not interested in investing the time in performing multiple correction steps, you can simply mask the imperfections with Menzerna Top Finish Machine Glaze. Rich in oils, Menzerna Top Finish Machine Glaze adds significant amounts of gloss, making it appear like you spent hours performing multiple machine polishing steps. This versatile glaze is also a great option for vehicles that have whisper thin paint.
Menzerna Top Finish Machine Glaze can be applied by hand or machine. From our testing, a GRAY Lake Country CCS foam pad works best. This soft, firm finishing pad engages the abrasives just enough to remove light swirl marks; the soft nature of the pad doesn’t create micro marring.
When complete swirl removal isn’t an option, mask the imperfections with Menzerna Top Finish Machine Glaze.

The Test:
TF comes loaded in a fairly sturdy 32oz bottle with a flip top cap. It has a mild chemical smell, but nothing offensive. If you're in to huffing markers, sorry, this wont do it for you. It is white in color and has a somewhat thin consistency. Not nearly as oily as I thought it would be.
For this demonstration, the victim of choice is a well neglected 2003 F150 with thin/weak clear. It already has spots of CC failure. It was given an ONR bath and clayed with Meguiar's OTC clay. The panel used for show and tell here is the RH side of the tailgate.

Okay, neglected was putting it nicely. This thing is trashed.
According to the instructions on the bottle, "Best results by using a high speed polisher set at 1500rpm equipped with a soft foam pad.", but who the heck reads instructions? Hardware used was a PC7424XP with a 5.5" Hydro Tech Tangerine pad. I primed the pad with product and then applied 3 pea size dots for working product.

I spread the TF on to a 2'x2' section of the tailgate on speed 3 and then ramped up to speed 5. I did 4 section passes, the 1st one using moderate pressure and gradually lightening pressure to where i wasn't applying any on the 4th pass.

The remaining haze was easily removed by a Supreme 530 towel. I must say, I was fairly amazed at the difference. I really didn't expect much, considering other glazes haven't done much to impress me thus far.

Here are the 50/50s

The DOI was much improved, but no where near show quality. I must warn you, I moonlight as a leprechaun.

Overall, it did most of what it claims. It did clear out the hazing and minor imperfections while masking the more severe ones. The AG product page claims a possible swirl free appearance, but your paint would have to be almost perfect as it is fo this product to get it there.
Usage Notes:
I found that if you work TF too long, it becomes extremely difficult to wipe off. The instructions say to buff until most haze is removed. I found that anything over 4 section passes with the DA required me to break out the QD to get the residue off. I used both a HT Tangerine and Crimson pad and preferred the results from the Tangerine. Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant easily applied over Top Finish and really brought out the shine.
Final Thoughts
This isn't a miracle product, so don't expect it to be. You won't get instant show car looks in a bottle. However, if you have a trashed vehicle like this F150 that has thin or weak clear, this is a great product to have on hand to make it much more appealing. The fact that it can be safely be topped with Menzerna Powerlock or Colorlock as well as Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant is a huge added bonus.
The 32oz bottle will likely last me a looong time, so it would be nice if it were available in a 16oz size. Overall I'm glad I picked it up as it will be another useful tool in the arsenal.
Thanks for reading!
