Review: Ultima Interior Guard Plus (UIGP)

Didn't read the whole thread, but what do you do for weekly maintenance of the interior cleaning? Will a diluted OPC strip this? or do you just clean and the finish should still be there for months?

I cannot find anything online besides this review that states this has UV protection. I don't even believe the back label makes the claim. Can anyone confirm before I place an order?

I want to start using this on a new car. I am hopeful this product will prevent later hardening/cracking of the leather seats over the long term.

Review: Ultima Interior Guard Plus (UIGP)

Introduction:
I have been a huge fan of Ultima products since my first experience with UPGP. For my tastes Ultima products offer some of the best products I’ve tried in looks, durability, and ease of use. I’ve been using 303 AP as an interior protectant for a long time and I love it. I’ve also used 1Z and Lexol brands for the leather. Anyway a couple weeks ago I finally coughed up the dough to try out the Ultima Interior Guard Plus (UIGP). Over the Independence Day weekend I spent some time with this wonderful product. Without further ado here is my review.

Product Description (from AG):
Ultima Interior Guard Plus is the first and only polymer sealant for automotive interiors. The Ultima sealant protection lasts for months and requires only a damp cloth or Ultima Detail Spray Plus to clean and maintain. Plus, unlike traditional interior dressings, Ultima Interior Guard Plus maintains an even, natural appearance and will not fog your interior glass.

I recently applied it to my interior surfaces in my new car for UV protection. According to this description:

Sorry to bump an old thread but I just read it and could not refrain from laughing out loud that Corey was using the wrong side of the applicator. I'm guessing you now like the applicator much more using the right side?? Fantastic review though!!

I bought this product last week and I started to convert my interior to UIGP yesterday. It seems to spread well with the supplied applicator and even though I did apply the product a bit on the heavy side, I detected no streaks.

I got equally nice results (looks and probably protection) from Optimum's product but I noticed a lot of fogging and that's the big reason I bought this product.

I admit I haven't read through all the 10 pages or so of comments but I'm hoping some folks who have been working with the product for a while have noticed whether the fogging claim has proved out.

Thanks!

Fogging on the glass from applying ultima on your dash panels? I haven't experienced that. I just used it yesterday and instead of a foam application I used a microfiber applicator. I liked it better and felt like it was easier to apply. Ultima makes some excellent products

I think you may have misinterpreted what I wrote. I said that the Optimum product caused a lot of fogging, not the Ultima product. I bought the Ultima product to get rid of the fogging.

So, is it fogging with the UIGP?Feed back please

The detail and depth of these reviews.
Sticker shock is right; Felt the same when I was picking up a jar of Souveran. 10+ uses and have hardly made a dent in the pot.
Definitely adding this to my list.
