Review: Ultima Interior Shampoo Gel + Sonus Leather Conditioner

Do i need to use a Interior Shampoo Gel on a new cars leather? Or can i just move on to Ultima Interior Guard Plus Leather Conditioner from the start? You guys are great thanks.

I personally would atleast dampen the rag with the cleaner and wipe the seats down to remove any unseen body oils. At the very least a wipedown with a damp rag. even if the car was brand spanking new.

but realistically , nothing other than that is required.

Most detailers on this forum I would bet would have a hard time just applying a protectant without atleast wiping down the seats with a damp rag. even if it was leather off the factory floor.

It certainly won't hurt to use UISG first(I would), but you may not need it. Like Mike said, a damp rag should suffice if the leather is relatively clean.
