Review: Zymol Glasur

Glasur is fantastic and one of my favorite waxes. I loved it so much i bought 2 pots of it just to make sure I always had some. For the price I dont think many things are better in same price category or even ones that cost more.

Did the review say anything about it performance? How does ir compare to other products in terms of shine etc. I know that it does not last too long.

Who told you it does not last very long? If you believe Nu-Finish is decent then anyway i guess you will believe someone who tells you Glasur doesnt last long

Since Zymol Glasur Wax contains, among other ingredients, Propolis...

Then...
Is Zymol Glasur Wax really a wax?
Or: Is it a Hybrid-wax; or: a Sealant?

We also know that there since there is no such animal as: Banana "banana-oils"...
Why in the World (except for marketing purposes) would Zymol claim that
there are some in Zymol Glasur Wax (and other Zymol waxes as well)?

Just curious.

And: @~$130.00 a tub...I reeeeaaaallllyyyy would want to get my money's worth.

:)

Bob

I dont know anyone who paid that much..they run so many sales all time for 25-30% off..I only paid $92 for my tubs
even on Amazon you can get it on prime for 101 all day

^^^ :wow:^^^
That almost sounds like a steal at $92/$101!!

its a steal when you compare them to the overpriced waxes like Fuzion or BlackICE.

I'm curious as to why you say there is no such thing as banana oil. It's true that no one is wringing out greasy ripe bananas and collecting an oil from them, but banana oil is a real substance. It's a solvent whose proper name is Isoamyl Acetate and gets its name from its sweet fragrance. I get to smell the stuff once a year for respirator training. Somehow, I have the feeling you know all this. :props:

I have yet to use Glasur but I heard it smells fantastic and I'm sure banan....I mean Isoamyl Acetate has something to do with it. I actually have a pot coming this week so I'll have more to offer once I get my hands on it.

Wouldn't know about the examples you posted above...

However...
I have gone as steep as $39.99 (including tax & shipping) for a tub of Pinnacle Signature Series II.
Took a long time for me to even really justify that price-point.

I'm more inclined to belong to this category of wax-purchaser:
http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/products-guides/64797-why-i-will-never-pay-more-than-20-wax.html

So I may be somewhat biased/prejudiced towards the: "Uptown-waxes".

Hi Joe...

I just wish that the marketing-moguls of Zymol (and other car-care products companies, as well)...
Would just be honest and upfront and list Isoamyl Acetate as an ingredient:
"That has the aroma of bananas"...
"and will enhance ones application process of our outstanding car wax products".

-Just something about a disingenuous product description that rubs me raw at times.

+1000000 I never did get to take pictures of the car because it was raining for a solid week and now im on vacation for a month. I will probably make a second review with the results of it when I get back after I apply it again. What I can tell you is that the reflections are some of the clearest I have ever seen.

Fuzion and BlackIce shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Glasur imo. (Nothing against Fuzion or BI)

Glasur is the BEST wax in it's price range, period.

I've really enjoyed your Zymol Glasur's review-thread.
It was, indeed, FUN to participate/post!

I wonder if Autogeek will allow this non-AGO product
to be reviewed on their forum again. Hope so.

:)

No kidding? Do you have proof? Have you ever compared them on a scientific basis?

You should have add that in "your opinion"

In my opinion, all Zymol stuff is overprice and promoted by great marketing people, trained in the mode of P.T. Barnum.

Ironically enough, I have! Zymol beat BOTH in terms of durability, and repellancy to airborne particles.

I own waxes from $10 all the way up to SV Crystal Rock. Glasur is a fantastic wax with excellent durability and almost has a hydrophobic properties to it. It does NOT attract dust like most other "oily" waxes do. It reminds me of a coating, but in the disguise of a paste wax.

One question for you sir, have you ever tried ANY of the three waxes mentioned? Y

:dblthumb2:

I agree, Glasur is more durable than Fuzion. Also seem to use much less product than Fuzion making it a better value. Fuzion does smell better though.

No? I would be less expensive waxes do a wonderful. You do not need to use stuff to know that you are being suckered.

There are things you intuitively know are not worth the money.
Would you buy the Brooklyn Bridge.
Bernie Maddoff sounded great. So great that people did not even look as his statements.

As I said before, it your money. I thought that I would comment.
There a lot of thing out in the world not worth the money being ask for them. People are just too trusting and/or easy to sell.

Im pretty much a reader and float around the forum, I have a very wide range of waxes and have spent close to $600 on a wax (SV)... I just recently got the Blackice to put on my New Black chevy truck... Zymol and Blackice are very good waxes..but im going to have to say the Blackice collects more dust then the Zymol...Blackice is a lot easier to take off and smells like shoe polish lol!! They both have Excellent sheeting power with the Zymol a little bit longer lasting...Again this is my experience with the 2 waxes!

:dunno:
You get what you pay for sir.

I liked Glasur, but liked Fuzion better. Dunno, everyone has their opinions. I agree you kind of do get what you pay for. Saying it's all "marketing" is a little ignorant and naive.

I've tried a lot of $50 waxes, but they aren't as nice as Fuzion or Glasur. They're just not. If you don't want to spend that much on wax, I understand. But to say its a rip-off is kind of silly, when $125 really isn't that much cash for the time we invest in our cars.
