Well it's a very good product, fairly priced AND from Griot's Garage AND is a pure cleaner
I think you'll like it actually![]()
One of my favorites still.

I'm starting to like DIY more - not a huge fan of the color or smell. Seems to clean better and mixes very well. Even using it inside the house it's pretty good. Absolute is not the greatest for off label uses so far.
I might buy a gallon of DIY next year. Unless something else comes out or owner's pride canada starts using some reasonable shipping companies. Shipping is ridiculous.
So does any rinseless product release dirt from the sponge and make it fall under the grit guard?
How are you mixing Absolute and Bead Maker and what is the advantage? I already use Beadmaker as a drying aid.
I think he just means use Beadmaker as a drying aid.
Correct, using Bead Maker as a drying aid.
Of course, you don't need to use a drying aid, but those two work so well together.
I mist it on just before towel drying, which dilutes it down a bit but without compromising the gloss potential.
For DIY rinseless users, does it foam up when you agitate it with water? N914 does that when I top off the bucket or add water for any reasons after it's in the solution. A bit annoying because I mainly use a split 5 gallon bucket so I often have to wait for the foam to dissipate. Never experienced that with other rinseless solutions.
Gotcha. Totally read your other reply wrong. This is how I've also been using it for years.
Agreed, no need to agitate or top off, once measured out your good to go. I always make extra because I pre-treat, better to have a little extra than not enough. The extra can be used in the engine bay, wheelwells (even if they're clean, just spray it up in there and let it dry), dirtier jams and even the interior if you want toDIY will foam. Don't agitate it...
For all you Absolute users. Per P&S don’t shake the bottle but swirl it. Also swirl it when poured I to the bucket. Reason being is the polymers will encapsulate each other.

Just so I'm clear, have you used it yetThanks for the info. This is dropping Absolute down on my personal list.

I like the APC metaphor. N914 and DIY are definitely more versatile IME. They do seem very similar.
2 more rinseless products coming out soon from ma-fra(Manaic line/Labocosmetica) and artdeshine. Excited to try one of them.
Here’s my take on current RW products.
N914 and DIY are the exact same product aside from colour and smell in my experience.
Do you have proof that they are?
Would your thought process change if you knew that DIY uses the same warehouse as Owner’s Pride to ship? Does that make DIY the same as OP?
I get that everyone wants them to be the same but they certainly behave differently from my experience.
The only ones that know are the chemists and the people that work for that brand.
Ivan did say in an interview with Pan that they company he started DiY with was a big blender that makes many of the products we already love but they did not have a retail line of their own.
This would nix Mckee’s as the blender but agreed the perform eerily similar.
But Mckee’s been a high performing product for a while.
