Rinseless Washes - 2022

Good info - thank you. I actually have Frothe as well. Still just working up the nerves to do more regular rinseless washing. I've used the process maybe 5x and I'm convinced if I see a blemish it's from the rinseless... and I know it isn't true. I've definitely been more willing on a white vehicle though. It'll grow on me!

Try pre treating with Frothe and then use the Gary Dean meathod with rinsless Wash. i like doing that with absolute.

I'm not heavy into RW : WW so here goes the ?

on DIY detail video, Yvan is showing how to do a heavy pre rinse at Coin Op to get crud off and then drive home to do your RW. He advises to prespray the car with RW Mix after leaving the coin op en route to home so that it mitigates water spotting ?

I'm not following the logic or can shed some clarity in how a RW/WW dilution -mitigates- water spotting...

Ahem, if there was some magical product that I could just spray after washing the car in the summer, I'm All in.
I only wash outdoors so I time it either early morning or late afternoon @ the peak of summer. I can then move it into the garage and leisurely dry, but timing of early morning or very late noon gets tricky in the summer

Ha, after typing this I realize the answer is deionized. I did have a CR spotless....it wasn't for me Sold it

I’m about to trash my CR Spotless. I’m glad it was a gift that I didn’t actually buy.

I wash in my garage. I use a giant floor squeegee and that gets rid of enough water for me.

The idea is that the polymers/surfactants in the RW/WW chelate to some degree the minerals in the water.

Bill -

Is your garage empty ?
I've been toying with the idea and need to look up something to hang off the ceiling and create a complete curtain - enclosed area but everytime I think of that, I just think of atomized dirty water overspray and nix the idea....Having a dedicated enclosed wash would be nice..

This thread where guys do RW covers it already on indoors....
I'm more of a dual hose type of washer....HP rinse + lotsa water on a regular hose with buckets...

My garage is seemingly never empty. The first bay has enough room to not have water interfere with the other cars

The hose is connected to an outlet above my utility sink and I have both hot and cold water.

Do you have a water softener? Is the water in the garage soft? I don't know what your tap water is like there in FL.

Thank God the water in my town is soft. Never had a problem with spotting

Has anyone heard anything about when Labocosmetica's rinseless wash is coming out? Last I heard back in November or December it was supposed to be out early 2024. The product, Idrosave, isn't listed on their English or Italian websites nor is there anything on their social media about it.

No mention of anything about Idrosave in that video.
Oh sorry about that, it's gotta be coming! I've heard about that company for a while, damn rabbit hole keeps pulling us in

Only rumors but I've seen end of Jan and end of February.

If you've ever spent time in Italy trying to plan on train schedules, you can assume this means definitely before 2025, nothing more.

I presume BH AF Touchless meets our EPA laws, etc ?
Here I was thinking that the stuff over the -pond- is not easily available here in NA due to EPA formulations, etc
I sorta gave up on PreWash as I spent sooo much $$ importing them and paying vat, and paying shipping and it was not as clean-touch less as I wanted.

In a quick test, BH does clean down to film level.
I didn't take a white applicator to see how -clean- but visually, it's the best no touch I've used sofar compared to some other pre-washes from CleanShiny UK eon's ago.
Did BH have another pre wash before this. And or was it ever reformulated. I do recall using BH AF in the past and wasn't impressed. I am impressed today. Eh, maybe my detailing techniques have gotten better since the last time I tested it

BH has Auto-foam, which was first and then Touchless, they are the GOAT for pre-wash traffic films but there's a new kid on the block from Sweden....Pure:est alkaline snow foam, cleans GREAT and smells like cologne but just because it smells good doesn't mean it's some gimick...it's THE REAL DEAL

HDD road rage seems to keep up with the Bilt Hamber twins but don’t think High Definition Details will ship it here.

Shine Supply Hole Shot is decent. I just don’t think you’re going to find a “better” product though.

Personally I prefer AutoFoam over Touchless.

I emailed LaboUSA and they said no idea and to follow there FaceBook for announcement.

Wonder what went wrong to delay product so long….

Someone posted today or yesterday here or Autopia that there will be news at end of Feb. So I was searching about this Idrosave stuff, and happened onto a YouTube by EC Details where they were comparing the Idrosave to Absolute, and EC seemed to be pining over ONR V.3, which is a new one on me. I don't remember anyone else bemoaning the loss of V.3 when they went to V.4 in 2021 (I think?).
