Rinseless Washes - 2022

That is where I have gotten it before (V1 and V2) but I don't have Prime so I will wait and tack it on to another Amazon order

I placed an order last week and they are already giving me delivery dates after Christmas so I probably won't be ordering anything for a while, but I will put it in the cart
Their v3 is just the product you need for THAT environment, looking forward to hearing from you when you get it/use it

What are opinions on using just plain water in the rinse bucket as opposed to the rinse bucket containing rinsless solution.
Considering that the sponge is already saturated with the rinseless then should that not aid in releasing the dirt from the sponge?

Not that rinseless wash is expensive but if placing it in the rinse solution then one is using twice as much. To be honest I only recently started using a rinse bucket when doing rinseless and I have only used plain water in it. I do have a scrub wall in the rinse bucket and the rinse water does get dirty so that is less dirt going into the wash solution.
Some people, Like Yvan LaCroix have advocated putting at least some RW in the rinse bucket to help release dirt

It is controversial and some do and some don't

I tend to err on the side of caution so I add some to my rinse bucket

Can't hurt the car, only your wallet

I've been using plain rinse water in the rinse bucket since day 1 and always grit guards since finding them soooo many years ago!

I'm surprised the "experts" preach that you only need 1 bucket and no grit guard but you know what, it's just the way it makes sense to me logically

Chilly,
With those crazy shipping prices think I would be buying the gallon size. Wouldn't be surprised if the shipping was the same for a gallon as it is for little more than a quart.
Feynlab sells a 5 liter on their website for $62.85. The same item from Amazon is $98.00.

Not saying he is wrong but Yvan sells rinseless wash. So his opinion may be influenced.

I haven't tried V3 yet and I have been burned so many times over the years on gallons of product I won't ever use

Yeah, Amazon totally profits on shipping, don't be fooled

Plus, welcome to my world

I guess it depends on your wash media, mine generally have a sponge in them and my theory is I am diluting the wash mixture if I have plain water in the rinse bucket. And no, I don't use any shampoo in the rinse bucket when I'm doing a conventional wash...again, this goes back to my original rinseless use in winter in a "I can't stand to have my car looking like this anymore" wash. So I erred on the side of caution and maybe overthunk things...but what kind of 'Geek would I be without overkill and overthink?

This is true, but he has been saying it since day one, 20 plus years ago regardless of whose hat and T shirt he was wearing

He isn't the only one to advocate it either

I am not saying he/they are right or wrong, I am not a chemist and I don't have the equipment to analyze the claims in a controlled setting

As always, you pays your money, and you takes your choice

A little side question since we're talking alot about Feynlab...has anyone used Feynlab Pure Wash

Because their RW is so strong and great I figured their conventional carwash soap would be equally good

Per the directions, 1 oz per gallon, so I'm looking at 3.5 oz per wash, anyone use it and if so, thoughts

I have wanted to ask the same thing

Well I guess there is no way around the shipping to Alaska.
When I was an American Airlines employee we got 75% off 2 day shipping at FedEx. Not when I purchased something but when I shipped something. Took advantage of that many times.
Haven't checked this stat for several years but FedEx was/is the largest employer in Anchorage.

Nope, just one of the realities of living up here

I think it was Idrosave, since Labo USA is actually in Canada, I think they were selling it there before it was released here, and their site said "only for Canadian customers" or something, but you ordered it anyway and got it, somehow. So that doesn't explain how you got that little bottle of EcoWash, which I'm jealous of.

Nah Labo US had it on day of release.

Well sometimes you need a RW with more cleaning and sometime you might need a lighter cleaning but wanna "boost" protection

So does this fall in the light category?

You should look into carbon collective…. The dirt release was insane. Your boy Eddie has a short on it. Looks promising

Thanks for your input. I have not had any staining issues from a rinseless yet. Ive had onr,n914 and fenlab pure rinseless, and now hero. I just wash in 3d towel kleen, recently been adding distilledwhite vinegar in the fabric softener port to help aid in deep cleaning.

I have in the past been against a soap/rinseless that left some sort of protection behind. Recently because ive been looking to try idrosave next year that im more open to it.

No problem with Idrosave staining but haven’t used light microfiber. May try next wash. Was a good cleaner and I give 2 $h!ts about it adding some protection for 2 weeks.

Not gonna try Hero.

If looking outside those two my current favorite is Koch Chemie Rapid Rinseless. I’d buy a gallon if they sold it.

Carbon Collective sounds interesting, seems like that product is more focused on cleaning than slickness under the towel.

"We have all been schooled as to what a rinseless wash is by American producers, and they have relied heavily on towel feel via polymers on panel to drive a sense of security for the average user. This is why most can be diluted into a quick detailer at higher concentration. Carbon Collective has brought things into a much different direction, so do NOT expect this to perform like everything else. Where EVOLVE performs is in the act of CLEANING, part of why it may also be used as a panel wipe or even a bug remover at higher dilution ratios(are you getting it yet?). Wiping the solution off panel leaves nothing behind when done right, no smearing or streaks to speak of, on black paint and under a light. "

Never knew 303 made a salt neutralizing product that can be used as a rinseless?
