I forget whose idea it was but I really liked and decided to do something about it. But due credit to where credit is due... let me think of who had the idea and lets give them the credit.

One thing I know they do on the Adams forum is on the left side where location and number of total posts is, they also have "real name:" I'm not sure if there is a reason why autogeekonline doesn't have it but I find it useful as you can immediately reference the users real name. I believe it is a vBulletin based forum as well.

With vBulletin you can create "Custom Fields" like you referred to in your post, I think this only affects people that join after you create the custom field or if a Pre-Custom Field member edits the field via their User CP

I'll check with Jason on this...
