Roll Call! Who drives a MANUAL transmission?

I wish I still had one!
Taught myself how to drive on a standard transmission.

I have a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta that is a manual. I drive every day.

Manual in my toy car. Automatic in my daily driver. The manual can tire me out in city driving but it's the fun way to go for a cruise!

I'll never buy a stick again unless it's a weekend toy. Being a truck driver I'm tired of shifting

Exactly.

Now if I had my old SS '70 Chevelle with an M22 and 450 HP, then yes.

But, just driving around, going to work, running errands, I say no thanks.

That being said, my wife has a standard in her Jeep Wrangler, and LOVES it.

Chicks. Lol

One 6 speed (Audi) and auto Honda element. Oddly enough, my wife has pushed for manuals in all our cars and I'm not complaining.

I've never bought an automatic.

Hopefully the day never comes where I HAVE to buy an auto. Be it from health or ....they stop making them... Knock on wood*

Currently drive a '16 Camaro SS. My first 6 speed with active rev matching

I still drive a stick. In addition to giving me greater control, it is the Millennial anti-theft device!

So very true. It's funny to read in the news about attempted car-jackings or auto thefts that progress less that 100 yards because the thief can't operate the car.

2008 Infiniti G37S, 2016 Dodge Challenger R/T, and 1995 Jeep Wrangler - all manual trannys

LMAO

So true. Wanna really foil these baby thieves? Let them try and start an old carburetor-equipped car in the morning. ;D

I'm in the exclusively manual transmission camp.

Tried driving a automatic again when shopping for my current car. I pulled out of the parking lot, and turned right back around and moved on to the next car. Just felt wrong... LOL

Manual transmission!!!!! All the way my younger brother (21) drives manual and tough my 15 year old sibling to drive manually as her first car! 2004 Mazada RX-8 and 2006 Mustang GT both manually, the bad thing is that on dates I cannot hold hands when driving but she holds something else while my hands are busy hehehehe. I told my sister if you can drive manually you can drive anything and she said for her first car she wants it manual not automatic!

My last 2 "fun cars" were manual and when the day comes I can get another, it will be manual as well

As I posted in 2015 current Mustang Cobra is a six speed.
But my very first car was a 1961 Ford Falcon Station Wagon with three on the tree.
I just counted all the cars I have had and it goes, manual, auto, manual, auto, manual, auto. And my next car will be a dual clutch so is that an auto/manual?

My "toy" is a manual and my last 4 cars were all manual. I find manual a lot more fun to drive and more involved, but I just recently leased an auto daily and honestly, it's nice sometimes. Mostly because of the overpopulated, traffic infested hell that I live in. 99% of the time, driving around over here where I live is more like waiting in line. You pull out of your drive way, pull down the side street to the main road, and get on line. You inch a little, then wait a couple of minutes, then move a few more inches, then wait another couple of minutes. It's horrible :(

For a generation that's supposedly an-ti gun, they sure love being triggered....

I'll see myself out now.

Unfortunately, I am part of that generation you speak of. I don't "fit in" with the majority of them. Let's just say that :)

Cheers to that! :xyxthumbs:

The only auto we have is the gf's Outback Sport. Manual can be a pain from time to time - Bay Bridge traffic... This is where owning a motorbike comes in handy. Bumper to bumper crossing any of the bridges here makes me want to commit seppuku.
