Running a Detailing Business For 3 Years

keep the standard high & the rest will follow.

VERY TRUE!

Ya I never advertise most of my business comes from word of mouth.

:iagree:

Very inspiring brother! Keep at it and keep the hard work up!

The biggest fear in this game is taking the initial plunge and being able to go out and find work for yourself everyday. With a good work ethic, good name, and good finished product..the rest takes care of itself.

Can't say it better myself my friend!

I did have a question for you because it's always interesting to see what others do.

When you finish with a customer...what type of documentation do you use or do? Do you store their information someone where to call them back? Do you just wait for them to contact you back? Any maintenance programs?

Honestly - Ive been nonchalant and get a call back from themselves or a recommendation - Im sure If I had documented and pursued their future services and/or their friends that I would be even more busy than I am today!

And you're doing a tremendous job Anthony and are a top contributor on Autogeek with real life detailing knowledge with all the tips and tricks!! :props:

Congratulations!! :dblthumb2:

Thanks Bobby - I really appreciate it :dblthumb2:

I agree.

There are people on forums that might have experience but Anthony takes his time, (and that has value), to type out detailed, coherent posts that help people, not just one-liners.

:xyxthumbs:

Mike - I appreciate it man.... I wanted to text you today but felt that you get enough of those as is lol!

I have an app on my iPad that keeps track of their name, email phone, and what I did on their car. The is called CJournal coast $8 but worth it. Most of my customers have 2 or more cars and CJOurnal makes it easy. I send out an email twice a year to all my customers on the two deals I have.

Awesome info - thanx man!

I think you're question would be best posted in the forum group called,

How to make money detailing cars

Instead of tagging it onto Anthony's thread about "his" business.

Not coming down on you but the way forums work is sometimes you're better off starting your own "Dedicated Thread" with a "Subject or Title" that tells the reader what your thread is about.

By doing this you help yourself to get more and better qualified answers and that is what your goal is? Right?

:dblthumb2:

Once again, AGO never fails!
You guys are more than helpful putting up these threads, gives me an understanding of what I'm in for.

:goodjob2:

I love to see other people succeed in their passions and if I can help even better. One thing CJournal is for iphone too but the only thing that sucks it that you have to pay for it again.

i apologize to every one on the form
I do understand what you are saying

Continued success to you!

Your attitude and expertise serves you well.

No worries man! You know how many things I conjured up and was shot down on! Outside opinions are great to have for sure..... so many times my friends, family, or Agians have said - nah not the best idea.... then I scrap it and move onto the next. Keep thinking of great marketing products and always get opinions before tossing your final product out there :dblthumb2:

Absolutely, been here for 4+ months and I can't tell you how many new things I've learned and all the opinions from other professionals that have helped me. Ive re-done my website 3 times, changed services, I've redone advertisements. Ive had a lot of insightful comments pointing me in the RIGHT direction. Just keep going at it.
