Hi all,

I'm stuck on which machine to go either Rupes 15 Mark ll or Rupes 21 Mark ll?. I will be getting the Rupes LHR 75 mini no matter which machine I decide on and will be used in mobile detail business daily on mainly daily drivers mostly with an 'all in one' not high end cars.

Thanks,
Elger

I went with the 15 and love the thing. Im mostly using it on my 2 cars a VW and BMW (small with lots of curves) so even the 5" plate seems a little big at times.

But for mobile detailing I would go with the 21 and buy the 15 backing plate and switch off. And with the 75 you can pretty much tackle anything.

As above, if you getting a mini, pair it to the 21 with a 5" bp. If you only wanting one machine, 15 is the better all rounder.

Tough question. I believe Dylan@Rupes says the 15 is more versatile, but the 21 is an excellent machine as well.

I have the 21 ES, but I'm drooling over the 15 MKII.

If I could, I would have it both.

If I lived in America, I would have it both as well, since I paid double the price you guys pay it (I paid like 900USD for my Rupes couple years ago - fellow Americans, never take your country for granted).

21mm is just such a large throw. Even with a 5" backing plate, it's still not the most versatile machine in the world. It's tremendous for large, flat panels. 15mm throw is more versatile, but still, there's no way you could polish a whole car with it. If you only can afford one long throw, I'd go with a 15mm.

Thanks for the replys.

Anyone who's had both machines but prefers one over the other?

Thanks,
Elger
