I’m looking at getting myself a Rupes iBrid. Anyone have input with their experience on this tool? The long neck version is what I’m interested in.

Any input, positive or negative would be appreciated.

Mike

I love mine. I use it in every detail. I did order the long neck. I haven't need the longer neck yet. I actually wish I would have got the short neck. It would be easier to operate one handed. I haven't come across anyone yet who has actually needed the longer neck. I guess it you ever do need it having it would be a plus.

It’s great for vents, door jambs, spoilers, bumpers, really anything your 3 inch polisher won’t reach. Works well for interiors too. I’ve got both the long and short neck and I have no real preference. The short neck is easier to maneuver on interiors.

Love mine. I too use it on almost every vehicle. It's irreplaceable for the areas it fits!

^^ agree that it works great. I don't use my as often as others here but I do love it on wheels. I use a short neck version and have no issues. I use it more as a rotary vs a DA.

Same here. I use the rotary mode a lot for wheels, exhaust tips, mirror caps and tight areas. The DA mode is also nice for pillars, bumpers and places the 3" can't reach. I have the long neck and have no complaints other than the cost of pads.

If someone with the short neck IBrid could do me a favor If you could measure it from pad to the back off the head and let me know the measurement please. Id like to get one for the fairing on my bike if it will fit in between the fairing and triple tree area
Thanks

You will wonder how you detailed without it. Is it pricey? Yes...but so worth it...

I have the long neck and love it. I also use it on every detail, mostly with the 1inch pads. Its a versatile tool as you can change from 12mm throw, 3mm throw, and rotary. Nice for spot sanding with the sanding discs provided. Also, nice for cleaning leather with the rotary attachment and boars hair brush. I find the blue rupes pads do shred and agreed the nano pads are pricey.

Long neck with a 1” pad is 3.5”. I don’t think the long neck and the short neck have a different diameter in that way.
