Rupes side by side detail - 1955 Crown Victoria



Tomorrow I'm going de-swirl this classic 1955 Ford Crown Victoria by splitting it down the middle and then buffing out one side using the Rupes 21 and the other side using the Rupes 15 and then document how long it takes me to do the entire job and each side of the car.


Clearcoat Paint System
This restored Ford has been repainted using a modern basecoat/clearcoat paint system.

What this means?
This means that this car has a paint system similar to the paint system on your car in your garage and thus all the pads, products, tips and techniques I use to remove the swirls and restore a true show car finish on this old Ford will also work on your car.

Actually, many of them go on to and continue winning awards at local car shows.

Both Rupes will remove those defects for sure. The real curiosity I have is the amount of time to remove the defects.

The crown Victoria is an American icon with Ford. Its too bad to see it go. I wish Ford would have updated the design so it looks more retro yet modern. Would have made a great comeback

Document the time it takes to do each side. I don't need to know, but I'm sure there are those that would like to know so that they can choose their polisher of choice.
