RV question

Gonna have to stick to the decal comment - then again you seem to know how fiberglass acts lol - since you have your mother's conversion van to go by :dblthumb2:

Probably painted then, and I've run across decals and painted stripes on the front so it's hard to say, one had 2 stripes one paint the other a decal lol, the decal was flaking off, the edges were rolling up

Nope I have no idea, just never thought of them using decals on a conversion van. Was asking for advice, thank you.

This could very well be one of those situations where two people are correct. Cause looking at the RV, the front end is one big piece...which makes me think it's probably fiberglass. Also, the peeling part is the tan area...which could very well be a decal.

On the other hand...a conversion van most likely has a plain plastic painted, and cleared bumper. Just a coincidence that they're both peeling. I really think that's what is going on here.

I know, I'm of no help what so ever, haha.

dude, I was folowing this to the end to see what you used to clean this RV up.. how did it go? what did you use? I have a 5th wheel ('04 mobile suite 36') to do and am looking at how I wanna attack it.. faster the better but I wanna do a good job. I have a pic but I don't wanna hijack the thread. it's really oxidated.. like flat white paint. I've been looking at 3m's restore & wax. any ideas

I bought the Meg RV kit. I tried with a yellow pad with the heavy oxidation compound, put a quarter size dot of product on pad. Well seemed that the paint/gel coat was eating the product, and not producing a shine I was looking for. I stopped for now till I further investigate if the gel coat is damaged, and wont take to polishing. I'm stumped.

Depending on the rpm of the pc it may take a bit to remove older oxidation, the eating your product is normal until the oxidation is removed
