I have a 2006 Pontiac Torrent. After cleaning it today for the first time after the winter I noticed on both my rear doors in the area that sticks out around the rear wheel a ton of chips/scratches. The vehicle has a factory installed piece of rubber/plastic on the door in the general area. The chips are all around it and look like someone sandblasted that area of the door. There are some bigger chips I am going to attempt to touch up. The piece of rubber/plastic is very scuffed looking as well.
Can anyone tell me anything like polish or wax I can try to use that will lessen the appearance of the marks on the door and not remove all my touch up paint? When the area is wet they don't show up as much.
I bought this car used last fall and when I got it the dealer had it cleaned and I think waxed very nicely. There were marks then but now they seem more noticeable.
