While cleaning my front window, my wife scratches the hood because of her zipper on the hoodie was was wearing. They didn't weren't that deep but I tried using my PC / Flat LC Orange Pad/ UC and they didn't come out.

I decided to buy 2000-2500-3000 wet sanding paper. 3000 didn't remove all of it and I used 2500 and after 3000 after.

I tried to tackle the sanding with PC/ LC Orange / UC and it did work but I can still see a little bit a spot of sanding marks (but its uniform and all shiny)

I'll get some pictures tonight but like to know how I could make it perfect again?
 
Try putting a pea sized amount of compound on the mark. Switch to a 3" backing plate and cutting disc. This will focus all the PC's power onto a smaller surface. And go REALLY SLOW. Keep the PC almost stationary .

Also look into Megs MF cutting discs. I prefer them to foam.

:iagree: If you use too much polish/compound, then the lubricants in the products could off-set the cutting ability and you should have your machine no lower than 5, and you may have to take it to 6 depending on how stubborn the marks are.

Firstly, in situations like this the use of a PTG (Paint Thickness Gauge) is a good idea to make sure you have enough paint left to work with.

That being said, if you *almost* got the sanding marks out with UC on an orange pad, why not try repeating this to get the last of it out?
