SEMA Challenger - Polished, Detailed & CQuartz Finest

really nice work! thanks god he changed the wheels, because those orange ones were horrible.

I've been looking for a new write-up from you guys. Now I know whats been taking so long. :) Wonderful work as always. Did you have the orange decal for the rear window on hand?

You guys crack me up. Just perfection. I love the tag team and humor. You both are awesome. And a Hemi who doesn't love a Hemi!!!!

Great work as usual. These cars are big! Definitely a lot of paint to cover

Wow incredible work! That color screams with vibrancy now! Nice work guys.

Car looks so much better with the wheels at SEMA!

I agree, the wheels at SEMA looked better. The other ones I'd be ok with for a while but they could definitely wear on you after a while.

Thanks for checking it out :)

You guys do awesome work. It gives me inspiration and a goal of what to expect for my own vehicles... plus I know if I fail or am too lazy that I have a great source to go to within about 25 miles of me. :p

Lol, always glad to help if needed. We did have a customer come in a few weeks back, he decided to try to work on it himself and burned the pain in a couple spots...then decided to call us :props:

What will you be working on?

Amazing job, not that you've ever done anything else! That turn around was great and you could see the quality of your workmanship. Keep up the phenomenal work! Happy detailing!

Thank you much! We always try...thats for sure. Might be giving a hand to another local detailer who does some concours work on many historical vehicles ...that will be different. Concours guys make us look like hacks lol...should be fun and antagonizing all at the same time.

Nice job as always! Car looked great at SEMA and yes there are more than a couple cars there that are absolutely trashed, sad to see.

Thats awesome that you got to see it! Wasn't covered with chunks of rubber i hope lol.

Ive heard of the horrible paint condition of many of the cars there. I wonder if "Happy Howies" did them too lol

Nice job. :)

Thank you:)

Beautiful work! The car looks great! I definitely have a soft spot for Challengers. Those rims are pretty atrocious though...

The ones at SEMA are not much better. To each their own I guess!

The orange ones were good show rims...i was diggin the polished faced ones though, as you said, to each their own. Thanks for checking out or work :)

I love the work you both deliver. Damn fine job!

Thanks so much...glad we don't let you guys down :)

Awesome as always!

^So true! I under estimated the size of one of these bad boys a couple months ago. They're giant!

Its so funny because we have done a couple, but they weren't as bad as this one...tons of performance shops surely take their toll on a car. I'd definitely rather underbid a car for the first couple customers and over deliver for the price given, rather than over bid and either lose the job or feel we charged too much.

Experience, nothing beats it.

Great work. I've seen a few of your details on other forums and was always impressed by them. :xyxthumbs:

Thank you :) I always try to get them onto 2 or 3 forums. They just take quite a while to do but i dont want them to be boring or cookie cutter ya know?

Nice work! Look forward to the Charger write-up

For sure! Hope to have it up soon. Have another Tesla coming in a few weeks as well. Possibly a new Mustang GT...oh...and a new C7...I'm pumped about that one!

Awesome work as always!

Thank you much!

Great job and congrats on your first SEMA car (hey, how come the owner didn't fly you guys there? ;o))

Hahaha, i know right (kidding). We actually were invited to go by another detailer out here, but we've been booked solid for quite a while. Only reason i have tomorrow off is because i have had a bit of an issue with my left eye the last couple days...turns out i have 3 "scratches" on it, but i'll be good to go again next week hopefully...i better...with quite a few smaller jobs and a new SHO Taurus and an FR-S both coming in for polishing and CQuartz Finest, im going to need my eyes to be 100% lol

Great work, as usual!

Fantastic work my friend!:)

always impressive. Great job.

Thanks guys so much. Always appreciate you leaving feedback :)

Hi Wills...

I was delighted to discover yet another superb job that Dani and yourself have done...
It's a Creation of Beauty.

Stimulative...Electrifying...Magnetic...Adrenalizing!!!

As always: Thanks for sharing!

:)

Bob

Lol, as creative of a response as I've grown to expect from you Bob!

You know we have our two "long distance" Vette guys coming in next month. One from way down in Tucson and the other one from Vegas :). You gotta get out here man!

really nice work! thanks god he changed the wheels, because those orange ones were horrible.

Lol what can i say, they were sponsored! Thank you though.

I've been looking for a new write-up from you guys. Now I know whats been taking so long. :) Wonderful work as always. Did you have the orange decal for the rear window on hand?

Been crazy busy, then the fact that we have our window washing work on the side this time of year (thats how we got our business name...obviously we sided much more w/the wheels part though lol) means we're booked very solid. Lots of repeat business, which is always good.

We did not have the decal on hand...we just emailed the art to the owner, who sent it to the graphic guy who printed all the logo's on the car. Though once we have our logo totally finished (just making final adjustments) we will print some up. One of our FR-S customers was so happy w/how his car turned out he asked to have one for his car. I feel good about that because he keeps his car in GOOD shape...he has become swirl paranoid just like we are lol.

Mopar baby!!! Amazing job as usual guys.

Thank ya much :dblthumb2:

Good lord that looks just perfect. Great work!

Lol im not sure i believe in perfect but, we aim for it so we probably get PRETTY close. Thanks for looking :)

You guys crack me up. Just perfection. I love the tag team and humor. You both are awesome. And a Hemi who doesn't love a Hemi!!!!

Gotta love the Hemi! We did some video clips of it...before/during/after...just have to put it together. Did a short clip of it starting up...what a nasty beast it is! The owner said he has had several people approach him that want to use his car for magazine shoots after SEMA, so that should be awesome :)

Great work as usual. These cars are big! Definitely a lot of paint to cover

Seriously! I keep looking at my 86' town car (the land yacht) and thinking..."I WILL get to you"...but man its a lot of paint...at least its a soft top tough.

WOW....really, really enjoyed the write up and pictures....all I can say is wow....very professional indeed.

I'm a newb, so forgive me if this isn't ok to ask, but what does a full detail like that go for?

Wow! 86' town car. You're right. Now we're talking BIG! You mentioning that reminded

me when I was young my mom's friend would come visit with her new dark blue town car.

She would "let" me wash it for $5. She would always inspect it and make me touch it up

where needed.

What will you be working on?

The daily's are both 2005 Volvos (one is a white turbo s40, the other champagne s60).

The one I would like to sparkle is a victory red 2011 Camaro SS/RS.

I'll be burning the paint on the s40 as I work up the technique to get the Camaro perfect. :P (Or just give in and drive it across town after scheduling with you guys).

Lol, thank you very much. Honestly the price of the job depends. In this case, we gave a substantial break in price due to it being a SEMA car and a buddy of ours. When we first started we probably would have done this job for between $300-500. We worked and worked and built our reputation AND skill and so this past year for some jobs we can go into 4 figures ...but you better know what you're doing and you better deliver because if someone is spending that kind of money they want to be blown away lol.

Those are usually coating jobs that go that high though. And though i post a lot of these big polish out jobs, there is always a lot of smaller wash/wax/interior work that fills in those other days to make ends meet, those are just as important.

Lol yes i have an 86' and my sis has a 96', which is actually dark blue as well. Ive NEVER seen it in that color before and when we took it to the dealership for some work they said they never had either lol. It too has finest on it :).

Nice job! Any SEMA pics?

A couple but i'm waiting for the owner to get back and then i'll post all that he send me up. The last 2 in the write up were actually at SEMA. He also said quite a few people approached him asking to do magazine shoots with his car so..that should be good publicity too.

Lol well we are always here if ya need us. If you do decide to go at it on your own, break down and get the Rupes 21 from kevin brown @ Buffdaddy.com. Best machine ever and best customer service ever.

I dont think we ever did the victory red on a camaro but we did do this ZL1 that was a 2012...owner called it dark crystal :)

In case I didn't tell you before, I am truly a fan of your work.

Great write up and pictures. Had to be fun to have it at SEMA. I'd love to see a laundry list of equipment and products used on the project. Thanks for taking the time to post your hard work!

Will, Dani... always enjoy looking at your spectacular work! Also enjoy the write-ups as much as the pictures. Yet another job done to perfection.

I never thought I'd say I liked the orange wheels over the new ones, but I like the orange wheels on that particular ride...of course it's not my ride. LOL!

One comment though...

How do you do all that nice clean work, get paid for it, and not be asked to clean the floors and everything in someone's garage after all that dust? Joke...but M101/105/205 dusts horribly. However, they can make quick work of the task at hand. Trade-offs I guess.

Look at the bottom of those shoes in the photo below, and they're NOT as bad as I've gotten mine on a few projects. Especially when you work on older, heavily oxidized paint. I had to mop my dad's floor twice and clean all the items on the shelves, and mom had dust on her kitchen cabinets and countertops just from opening the door going into the house a few times. Of course, a rotary and wool pad does have a tendency to make more of a mess of things while a DA is bad enough.

Have you ever had a complaint about the dust after such a job so thoroughly well done?

That thing is glossy. I like the deeper red with the hockey stripe combo. The polished paint really brings out the contrast.

I'm on the same wavelength with the Rupes too. I've been waiting for some blackfriday/christmas sale to try to push the price point sub $400 for the 21 model. (Although the time savings for the 30 plus bucks i'm looking to save should be a no-brainer).
