I hear you on the freshly paved roads! Luckily here in MA they don't really fix roads. lol. I rarely run into construction where I have to drive over fresh pavement. Instead it's just pot holes which are great for your wheels, tires, suspension, etc!
If you have some decent protection on the paint removing these bits and pieces of tar and the like isn't all that bad... Line paint however is absolutely the worst stuff to remove!!
Consider what the road paint must endure for years on end it's no wonder we have such a tough time removing it.....
I should have put another layer of Swissvax on. Ever used that stuff before?
Yeah, Alko, I know what you mean. What's just about as bad is a dump truck speeding ahead of you in the left lane with little rocks bouncing off the back of the truck toward you. You slow down so he can get like 5 miles up the road, hoping that you can somehow avoid having one or more of those bouncing rocks put a crack in your windshield.
No I haven't but I hear you guys talking about it all the time. It is on the pricey side but I may have to bit the bullet and order some.
Sealants and waxes act as a sacrificial barrier repelling contaminates that come on contact with it. While no protective coating is bullet proof it does minimize the amount of adhesion that takes place...thus making it easier to remove.
