Short Review: Mothers Foaming Tire & Wheel Cleaner

My apologies for continuing to take this thread off subject, but wheel/metal polishes are difficult to figure out.

Most consumers don't know the finish on their rims, which means they can't buy the proper polish. A coated rim can be damaged by a metal polish. A chrome polish can damage a non-coated finish, and a metal polish won't do much for a chrome finish.

Stand at a mall some time and ask 100 folks what finish is on their rims - I'd be shocked of more than 2 knew.

All those different finishes are why we make different polishes. Over the years we've run plenty of ads to help the consumer choose the right polish, and posted tips in our on-line Detail Guide - but I still feel like Sisyphus.

And yes, the turnover in retail auto chain stores doesn't help either.

Good thing we have AutoGeek with knowledgeable folks to help the consumer.

BTW, if the PM isn't working, you can always e-mail by adding ".com" to my screen name and it'll get to me.

My apologies go out to Mark also.

Mark,
I use the Autoglym Custom Wheel Cleaner. I love it but it is harder to get and more expensive than the Mothers.
I've tried it, too. I think mothers works just as good. :)
