I've previously reviewed the PBLSC product, and I've done a prior Show 'N Shine showing the results you could get using the product. Needless to say, I am still impressed with this product, and its capacity to put a smile on my face.
I decided to do this Show 'N Shine because I've received a couple of PM asking about my experiences on light colored vehicles. So your wish is my command!!Im the MAN

THE SUBJECT: 2012 Volvo S80
THE CONDITION: This car is meticulously maintained.... using the traditional car wash. I was surprised to only see very light swirls and scratches and marring (considering how often this car go through the car wash) however the reason became apparent when I did my test spot.
THE PRODUCTS USED The car came pre-washed..... BONUS!:dblthumb2:
- Wash and clay was done with the Nanoskin wash mitt (fine grade). If know me already, my soap of choice for the claying using the mitt is Mr. Pink.
Nanoskin AutoScrub Fine Grade Wash Mitt
Chemical Guys Mr. Pink Super Suds Shampoo, high foaming car soap
- Drying was done using the cobra waffle weave and my trusty shop vac to blow all the moisture out of those pesky crevasses
3 Pack The Guzzler Waffle Weave Towels by Cobra, 16 x 24 inches
- Compounding was done with the Meg MF pads and Wolfgang Uber compound (Thanks Nick.. you were right! I did love it as much as my trusty FG400)
Meguiars DA Microfiber Cutting Discs, cutting pads, compounding disc pad
Wolfgang Uber Compound
- Paint cleaning was done using Detailer Coating Prep Polish machine applied
Detailer's Coating Prep Polish, clear coat polish, best car polish
- Coating was done to all hard exterior surfaces using the PBLSC which was applied with a Carpro suede microfiber wrapped around a tire applicator Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Surface Coating, paint coating, nano glass paint coating
CarPro Suede Microfiber Cloths, suede microfibre, microfiber towels
tire foam applicators, tire swipe
- Tires cleaned with a variety of brushes and D101. They were then dressed with my favorite tire dressing which is Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel and my trusty Carrand tire applicator
Mothers Tire & Wheel Brush Combo
Meguiar’s All Purpose Cleaner Concentrate, 1 Gallon, works on carpet, fabric, vinyl, and leather for all-over interior cleaning.
Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel dresses your tires in a dark, satin finish that protects the rubber for weeks! This tire dressing and protectant enhances
Carrand Brush & Shine Tire Dressing Applicators, tire brush, tire shine applicator
- Trims and gaskets were dressed with UTTG
Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus, tire & trim protectant, tire dressing, rubber protectant
- Interior windows were cleaned with Pinnacle Crystal Clear
Pinnacle Crystal Clear Glass Cleaner with Water Repellent
- Interior was dressed with Detailer Interior Surface Protectant
DP Interior Surface Protectant is a multi-surface shield for your vehicle’s interior. In addition to protectants, DP Interior Surface Protectant
- Leather was cleaned and protected using CG leather combo
Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner
Chemical Guys Pure Leather Conditioner 16 oz.
OK... on with the pictures!!
As you can see, very minor defects.... which required a MF pad and Uber compound (5 passes with medium weight)
A little after picture (95+% defect removal was achieved, evaluated under all lights sources including full sun)
... and now the reflection shots!!

As you all can see, even a light colored vehicle benefits from the insane gloss and superior protection of the PBLSC.
The customer came to pick up her car and the look on her face was priceless. Her car was pretty nice to start with and she was not expecting to see much improvements, but boy was she surprised. We talked for a good 45 minutes about the process and the follow up maintenance, and I even did a bead and sheeting test for her. She was impressed!!
Well, chalk this Show 'N Shine as done and in the books, and back to work I go. Hope to be able to give you some product review or Show 'N Shine as soon as weather permits.
