Wow, that is impressive my friend. Quite the rig you built there. Love the storage! :dblthumb2:

Cosmin has a pretty sweet set up. Hopefully he posts his pics.

Thank you for the compliment!!! I am fortunate in that I am also a carpenter. I am realy in no hurry to finish building the van, I have found that all the planning in the world is not worth an hour of actualy putting the van to work. I have made several changes in the setup along the way to better my efficiency. I have almost got what I feal is the perfect setup for me. I basicly just work on one area at a time and give it a good bit of testing to determine if it will be final, some decisions have bean rethought and some have bean permanent. I was not able to afford the box truck I originaly envisioned so I made due with what my unexsisting budget could manage. Hey you have to start some place.

I was gonna say, you must be a carpenter. Cause if I tried to do that...it would be bad, haha. Honestly, if you were anywhere near me, I would pay you to do this to my van, ha. No, seriously. :xyxthumbs:

Well it is not a van but here is my trailer set up until i get van

i have 3 magnets to put on the side back and door till i can get some vinyl put on later also im curious on how to ventalate my generator as there is no way to connect a extra pipe to it or do i just go over top of the metal structure they have above PLZ HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE

Just came across this forum so apologies for the delay. Have you looked into a vent/fan skylight like they use in RVs? A friend of mine does interior repairs for dealerships and he uses paints and dyes. His Safari has 2 vents that use electric fans. It's quite impressive how much air they move. He got them from a place called Camping Time. I think they're in Buford, GA

SRY for all the pics lol got carried away.. but thats mine and gets the job done..

Pickup has very nice mobile setup and graphics has me thinking about a pickup for upcoming season

I wish I knew how to post pics I'm really bad with computers and my phone and any thing in the web lol

Glad this thread got bumped, a lot of cool set-ups in here. I use my Ford Explorer and it gets the job done. Although I don't use a generator and do rinseless washes and no water tank, so I don't need as much space. In fact, I'm thinking of downsizing, but I'm a little hesitant.

Has anyone had luck using a car? I absolutely HATE paying for gas and have come to the realization that electric cars are the way of future, so was thinking of going the route of a LEAF, maybe even playing off it and the rinseless washes as being the most Eco-friendly Detailer in my area....one guy in this thread mentioned his Fit but never posted any pictures, anyone get by with a smaller vehicle, or am I just too far out in left field on this?

I'm using a chevy equinox for body shops and dealer work and I use my ford e350 for the rest of my work and big rigs gas is crazy !!! Might get rid of the equinox and get a nissan nv200

It's very doable to work out of a car. When I do dealer work out of town, I fit almost everything from my expedition in my honda civic coupe. It's just not as organized, but it can be if I intended to use the civic primarily

The more I've thought about it, the more I feel like I need more space than what a car will provide, and I don't wanna get a couple years down the road and wish I had more. I'm leaning very heavily toward the HHR Panel as of now. I'm not a huge fan of the way that they look, but they seem ideal for a mobile detailing shop and have a ton of real estate for advertising options, plus almost 30 mpg too!

The problem is that they are rather tough to find, at least here in the PNW.

The HHR isn't a bad idea also look at fords transit they are not to pricy and have a bunch of advertising space

I needed a new trailer as I was expanding and out growing my little 5' x 8' tow behind. I obviously needed some advertising and looked into what it would cost to have vinyl graphics installed.

I then decided to hand paint the trailer myself as it would be 1/3 rd the cost.

I couldn't decide on how to lay out the artwork so I took a peek at AutoGeek's van noticing how their website and phone number stood out.
