Hey all! Here's this weekends project.

On the agenda is a full exterior decon, one step polish with Rupes yellow pad and polish, full engine detail, and a leatherique treatment.

Ill update when finished!

Oh! Nice. Can't wait to see the finished shots and read about the detail.

Its going to be intensive. Assorted aluminum bits in the engine compartment need to be polished, bunch of chrome, grease and oil to be removed, oh.... AND a load of compound/polish/wax/whatever from the guy who built it originally. Let the fun begin!

And here... we ... go

So the start was pretty simple, wash with ONR, wheels with iron x, tires with Meg APC.

Washed car and didnt find much protection. Clayed it with clay magic blue, Wiped it down with Eraser twice just for the fun of it.

Heres the bare paint condition

Started on polishing the engine since it was later in the day and didnt want to get a pad dirty for just an hour.

Started Polishing the trunk to get an idea on what process i wanted to go with. Started with Rupes yellow pad and polish on the 21. Worked alright but was leaving holograms and too many swirls for my liking.

Well ####... rupes yellow leaving holo's? Ive never seen that before. So instead i went with rupes green pad and polish, 5 inch, followed by a LC white flat pad and Menzerna Po106FA. "Bet you havnt heard that polish name in awhile!!!"

Paint has noticable sanding marks under the clear ALL over the car

Small stuff was polished out with the Nano

Only about half way done with this so far. More to come tomorrow!

WHEW!!! Its finally done. Someone needs to slap the guy who painted this car...
