Ken is a local car guy and he and his wife Debbie were both on the second season of our TV show, What's in Autogeek's Garage?

As you can see, Ken and Debbie like both the traditional hotrods and modern hotrods...

Why don't I live closer, I could've brought the Pearl and we could've done 2 at once.

At least I'll get to see how my paint is supposed to look.

What products are you going to be using? I'll be interested to see how the test spot goes... I don't want to give away a future Chronicles post but the process I ended up with was quite a bit different than what I thought going in.

Thats one sweet ride. Cant wait to see it after you work your magic Mike and crew.

We cannot wait to see how the Challenger turns out! She is a really nice car to ride and proud to keep her looking her best! We know she will look great when Mike works on her!

Hey Mike, have you decided on which products will be showcased for the makeover?

Mike,

My Thursday night class is over, so I will be back on for Thursday nights again. I missed working on all of the cool cars and even missed working with all you guys. See you then.

Steve

Not as of this post, I have not seen the condition of the car yet so that's the first thing I like to do before determining what products are needed.

The fact that it's brand new doesn't mean squat. This was brand new and it was in horrible condition, certinaly no "Garage Queen".

I was wondering whatever happened to you... cool, it will be good to see you again.

You're all on the list...

Well if it's anything like the black paint on my 2011 Challenger then it would be a good candidate for a wet sanding class. So much orange peel that some groves down there in Florida would be jealous!!!! I removed every mark from mine and it still looks terrible. I know that it's not encouraged to wet sand factory paint, but I'm seriously considering it anyway....YUK!!! Hope his is better.....

Lots of interest in the new Menzerna Color Lock Carnauba Wax so we're going to use it on Ken's Challenger...

2012Challenger006.jpg

Ken is going to wash his Challenger before driving it here so when it arrives we'll first wipe it down with Menzerna PR, then inspect for above surface bonded contaminants.

I have not seen the paint yet but I've been told that even though it's a brand new car it came with swirls and scratches, so we're going to try to use the Menzerna PF 2500 to remove any below surface defects and perfect the paint and then seal the paint with Menzerna Power Lock and follow this by topping with Menzerna Color Lock.

At least that's the plan, we'll modify our process after doing a Test Spot.

If the sun is out I'll take some high resolution pictures and some iPhone video to document the true condition.
