So some of you remember the other custom VW bug I did earlier this year. This one is his good friend and finally he decided to pull the trigger and have me do my thing to it!

Overall this VW was in nice shape but just needed that little bit extra to take it to the next level. This included cleaning up the interior, engine bay and storage compartments. Machine polishing the paint and applying IGL Kenzo for years of protection and gloss.

To start with I gave the car a quick waterless wash with N914 then clayed it with N914 mixed at waterless wash dilution. For correction my Adams swirl killer mini was the main tool along with the Rupes Ibrid (more on this later). My G21 also got a little use on a couple of the bigger areas. M205 on a microfiber cutting pad took care of most of the issues in the paint although some fast correcting cream was needed on certain spots. Then just a quick follow up with M205 again on a rupes yellow pad for the little added gloss.

My Ibrid unfortunately decided to start acting up again as some of you may have seen the thread I posted about it. Normally I wouldn't have been as upset as I was but on these particular cars with there body lines that little tool is very handy for precision polishing and high quality work. Thankfully Jeff (JSFMX35) overnighted me his long neck to get the job done and I couldn't be more grateful for his kind gesture. Just goes to show you the community we have here!!!

After polishing the paint was prep wiped and IGL Kenzo was applied. Wheels and chrome got some polishing with Mckees fast metal polish. Interior got a clean up with various Mckees products.

Is this the Bug that you removed the orange peel on? Great work on that VW!

Wow, very cool car and awesome work?

Looks like a very tasteful custom. What are all the cool custom boxes under the frunk?

great work justin :) i love that color, as a matter of fact the other day i saw a benz in a similar color as well...

Yeah, I don't really like this Bug much . . .

I FREAKIN LOVE IT!!! 😍😍😍 This does it for me, I love the colour, the wheel choice, the stance (though I'm pretty sure it has an air ride system?) & from the little glimpse of the interior - yup, I like that too! About the only thing I don't like is - its not mine.

Justin, now that I've dried my tears - I see it clearly now. Super work enhancing this beauty, you really have increased the depth ten fold. The iBrid is the perfect tool for working on Bugs, & I hope yours gets sorted quick too. Stunning work on this beautiful beautiful . . . . yeah, I know I know . . . top work Justin, first class mate! :props:

The one in the very front with the plexiglass is the air ride unit. The custom VW metal design is actually one of his air tanks for the system.

Absolutely stunning old VW and now can be displayed proudly, Justin! GREAT work on that gorgeous paint.

And I just KNEW Aaryn would experience ecstasy!!!

Great work on getting that flake to pop the way it should! Looks great! Nice work!!!!
