Sneak Peek! - New Polisher!

Underneath the waffle weave towel is. . . another waffle weave towel.

I have heard some low level rumors of a Flex XFE7-15 125, which I assume to be the version of the XFE that has a backing plate that can use 5.5" pads. The other possibility is the XCE3401, which is the updated XC3401 with the case and improved ventilation of the XFE7-15 150. This one has been shown on and off for a couple of years now.

From the video, it definitely looks like a Rupes/Flex/GG Boss type design (what I like to call the "long handle design) vs. a shorter body PC/GG6 type design.

Appears to be a cordless unit.....finally ! Or more than likely a new Mikita ..

Not cordless, there appears to be a bulge on the side(wrapped cord). Also, there looks to be no battery on the polisher(too slim). 99% chance it's the new makita dual mode.

A cordless polisher will have a big bulge in the back due to the shape of the battery. This polisher does not.

Pretty sure it's the new flex 3401 xce. Not on my radar since I've only recently started using the originial

Good call. With how far battery tech + brushless motors have come, and with how awesome a cordless DA would be, I chose to ignore details that would provide evidence against what I was hoping for.

LOL

I'm pretty sure it's the new makita dual mode.

Great to see all the interest...

It's a real honor to be asked by any company to be the first person to use and then launch a new tool.

On either Monday or Tuesday I'll put this new tool through a thorough test. I'll be correcting the paint on the 1971 Duster that you see the tool on in the pictures.

Here's the before pictures of the paint on this car, it's in such bad shape that I think it needs to be machine sanded.

New Makita for sure. There appears to be a bulge on the left side of the head of the polisher where the forced rotation/RO switch is located.

OMG! I have just soiled my scivvies thinking of a cordless Flex! 2 batteries...one charged and in the charger and the fully charged first one in the machine that can go a good 4-6 hours...

Just imagining no cord to mess with BUT the ability to get about 8 hours of cordless machine time would be absolute nirvana!

Nevertheless, I am anxiously awaiting Mike's announcement, whatever it is.

NO YOURE NOT! no you are not going to get me to buy the latest greatest tool! NO NO NO NO NO NO!!! AHHHHH! ( Jaret, you can do it, remember what they taught you in school to say to drug dealers "just say no!")

(not inferring Mike is a drug dealer, but to us detailing tools and supplies are like drugs, we cant say no).

It almost looks like a swaddled baby. :)

Ha!

The next generation of polisher! *

*Requires 10-15 years of care, feeding and training before achieving reliable results. Recommended for users with advanced patience levels.
