so what has everyone accomplished this weekend? do anything fun an exciting? figured id make this random thread to see how everyone weekend has been going. mine has been pretty good, did a detail yesterday and made a detailing order last night, cant wait for that to arrive, then jaddie wow'ed me again and is sending some brushes my way.then i went to walmart on a whim and bought a black cherry tomato plant,a normal cherry tomato plant,a smaller roma style tomato plant, and 2 beefsteak tomato plants, got 3 cucumber plants, 3 cantalope plants, and a strawberry plant...cant wait to have some nice homegrown veggies! i love having a garden...bought some awesome fertillizer a long while back but have not used it yet, excited to see how well that works.... then today i am building a raised bed for the veggies, and another raised bed for the strawberries(cant plant strawberries next to nightshade plants as bacterias and viruses present on them do not get along well with the strawberries).thinking about going to lowes after i build the bed and get some lettuce plants and some others....but yeah pretty good weekend for me all in all!.. so how is yours?!

Hey Matt
I have a garden too got mine in during thee week just as a fyi its too late to put lettace in wait till late summer early fall and a suggestion on your strawberry plants I would design someway to put some kind of netting over them cause the birds will tear them up. Being in sand country you may want to put some top soil and potting soil mix in your beds with some sand so your plants roots have something to hold on.

ty for the tips dad07, im not planting directly into the ground here, too sandy and it just is horrible, every garden i plant here i mix up the ground a month or so before i plan to plant with good top soil and such, this year im doing it different. and the netting im doing regardless because of all the critters here. the beds im doing are raised so its going to be some nice promixHP for a growing medium. here is what im using

I watched a friend graduate college. Drank beer, ate a TON of food. Had basketball practice for two hours this morning with my teammates. Now I'm doing laundry and eating freeze pops, ha.

Then, going to my memeres for some of her awesome cooking with my fiance. Then, it's game 4! GO CELTICS!!!! Great weekend now that I think about it!:dblthumb2:

Between today and tomorrow, I will be doing a full detail (including polishing, headlight restoration, and Opti-Coat 2.0) on my dad's 2000 Honda Accord. Fun stuff!

I took a class at Meguiars and learned the very basics of damp sanding and rotary buffing. :)

Enjoyed a very nice dinner with my wife for our anniversary (valet too) Friday. Couldn't sleep Sat morning. Up at 4 wash and wax Challenger, wash and wax Dodge Journey. Re padded my computer chair from work because purchasing is to tight to buy me a new one! Typical yard work and getting ready to fire up the Q! 2 sons home from college . Life is good man!!!!!

I spent my Saturday working for free. Well, i had to go back to a customer's cause after their seats dried a stain raised. So, I went back and re-did the seats for her and ensured they were dry before I left.

Then did a free detail for a friend of mine for helping me out with brochures, business cards, etc.

Today I detailed a Toyota Tundra TRD (with cap).

About to hit the shower and head to my mothers for dinner.

Even though yesterday was drab and damp, my daughter and son-in-law stopped but in their new Jeep. I made sure they got pointed in the right direction with some quality products and protectants...............along with a ton of links!!

Today I mowed, and mowed, and mowed some more....Then I mowed and had a couple of burgers off the grill with two frosty ice cold Coors.....damn, those went down smooth...:props:

Well, after it raining for most of the week I washed the CR-Z and got it ready for a JDM Chicago and after being there for about an hour or so, it started raining and it didn't let up, tried hangin' out under some dense trees and hoping it would blow over....it didn't! I applied a coat of BFCS once I got there, I guess I jinxed it, LOL!

I did a full exterior detail on my Mom's Pontiac Grand Prix. It turned out alright.

Nice thread!

Friday night I met up with my boy for happy hour at The Green Turtle. Ended up staying to for awhile (5 hours)...good times. Yesterday consisted of running all around the world running errands and then went to a birthday party. Today my fiancee and I went and did a wedding registry at a spot in the mall and then ran some more errands. Since the Dr. Colorchip kit did not arrive last week, I postponed the exterior detail on my friends ride. So, sadly, there was no detailing involved this weekend. I wanted to do the interior of my ride today but I'm not in the mood...at the moment.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Bought an electric power washer and sprayed down my deck. Got soaked!!

Fri: Volunteered 1/2 day @ a local elementary school (kindergarten) where I have 4 maintenance customers.

Sat: Inbetween surfing the forums, entertained (wifes grand idea ) 2 gospel missionaries fresh back from the Tsunami area of Japan.
1 from Hawaii, from way of Jamaica.
1 from outside of York Pa.

Sun: Helped neighbor with the pruning of large branches that were dang near to second story windows.

I am working weekends now, new schedule. Now to find something to do with my time off during the week...

Worked at full time job Saturday. Saw The Avengers Saturday night (great movie btw) and finished polishing '98 bmw M3 & cquartz it. First time using cquartz. Is is supposed to be grabby when you wipe it off?

yep any coating is grabby at first when wiping off, dont be alarmed it wont be like that when it cures....

tried my hand for the first hand compounding and polishing the top of my truck. wow, was I depressed lol. so much work, so little progress. then got curious and decided to do a little experiment: armor-all extreme shield, nu-finish, and megs ultimate liquid wax side by side. then today I put a second coat on each. i'm interested to see how durability and looks will turn out compared to the others.

Detailed a friend's Grand Am. My first black vehicle and wouldn't you know it had to be a 12 year old Pontiac. Took two days and then I detailed my silver Sahara and put Permanon on it.
