Souveran attracting dust?

I'm a huge fan of the Souveran wax and have been using it on all my cars for over a year now. Hands down the best look and paint depth I've ever achieved, but I have noticed that the cars with Souveran seem to atract dust far faster than when I've used another product like Klasse or Zaino.

Is this just my imagination or is there a trick to getting a Souveran finish without the dust attraction?

i agree.ive been iseing souveran for over 2 years now and every time i use it im amazed of the glossy shine it leaves.. just an amazing wax.. and yes it dusts .but still great ...
 
if you have ever seen pollen under a microscope you would never use a duster to remove it. i have 50 scotch broom plants within 50 feet of my car so i feel i am a pollen expert. ha ha. i use souverain only on my personal cars except for some fuzion when the mood strikes. i get bees more than dust or flies.
 
ca duster is fine under light dust. don't apply pressure and you willbe fine. i have used the ca duster for years now, heck, just got done doing my evening wipe with it. of course it will streak at first. it has paraffin wax in it, that is why they say you need to break it in. so the first few times, it will streak but after dusting, give it a quick qd and your good. after it's broke in, it's an awesome product.

some don't believe in it but i have thoroughly tested this duster forswirls etc.and if used right, you can't go wrong.
 
see waiting until wash is not really an option. i use a noah covercraft at night to prevent the super nightly pollen attack... but i hate covering an already dusty car. i avoid washing because of my calcium ridden well water that is a pita to avoid white calcium spots...

guess i'll just continue to wipe with MF towels and if bad, QD.

Never cover a dusty car. The dust will act like sandpaper under the cover. When the wind blows, it just gets worse. Plus, the more you do that, the more dust accumulates on the inside of the cover, which will only make things far worse in the future, ruining freshly done details. I suggest you get some sort of water ilter for your hose, and get a waterless wash product for in between washes before covering, if it is really bad.
 
LOL...I just don't understand how some people think some waxes attract more dust than others? There's dust in the air that can't be avoided. Is one wax going to repel or create a magic barrier for dust? I highly doubt that. JMO. :)
 
I use Pinnacle Souverän Paste Wax on a Black car, and it looks fantastic and YES it does get dusty (even though it's garage kept) but no biggie i just pull out my trusty California car duster an "LIGHTLY" go over the car to remove "LIGHT" dust. It takes about 2/3 minutes to go over the car.. After a few days i hit with the Crystal Mist spray make that shine POP!!

I don't get it people spend 6/8 hours cleaning an waxing a car, but start to whine when a little dust gets on the car.. Honestly if it wasn't for the dust an dirt we wouldn't spend 6/8 hours beautifying an perfecting a car, not to mention some of use wouldn't have a JOB.

Car Waxes contain more than wax. Car Waxes contain oils, too. If I am not mistaken, Souveran contains a high percentage of oils, which makes it look so wet, but also causes it to attract a lot of dust, and reduces the wax's durability over time. Fuzion Is part sealant, and is anti static, and so does not attract as much dust. I've used both products and can say that Souveran attracts a lot of dust while Fuzion repels dust very well.
 
The reason a vehicle attracts dust is from static electricity. This comes from two things, the way you dry your towels, never let them completely dry in the dryer, and from wiping the wax off the car creates static electricity.
