Spray bottles

I bought some cheap $1 bottles with sprayer from wal-mart and while I wont use it for my spray waxes or more important stuff(I use old meguairs quick detailer bottles)....it works great for my apc stuff. Had it for over a year with apc + in it 24/7 and no issues.

My recent spray bottle experience:

Lowes Spray Pro - broke after about 20 sprays.

Detailed Image - 32 oz and 22 oz spray bottle. The bottle on the 32 oz is very soft (it crushes in when you hold it). The 22 oz bottle does not have that problem. The spray heads are not very good. In a minute adjustment it goes from straight shot to big full spray - it is hard to dial in the spray you need. When you do get the spray, pulling 1/2 trigger gives you a straight shot instead of a 1/2 spray. You have to pull full trigger to get spray and even then you get a hard straight shot with the spray. These spray heads have made in China on them.

ZEP bottles from Home Depot. These are the best so far. Great spray pattern adjustability and quality powerful triggers. Why did I not discover what a good spray bottle was years ago :) ZEP are also made in the USA and they are less that $4 each!.

I am tempted to buy a Kwazar for spraying that requires a lot of product e.g. clay lubing. For my other stuff ZEP is good enough.

I think it is all luck of the draw man :

I have HD bottles that have outlasted spraymasters, spraymasters that have outlasted other bottles, other bottles outlasting these bottles and those bottles..... I even just went and bought some bottles that I thought were the best and got 2 days out of one lol! Luck of the draw man.

Try Rubber Maid Professional 32 oz spray bottles. Available from Super Walmarts (not regular Walmarts). Same sprayer as Griots and the bottle is high quality, for 4$. The Zeps are good too, but I think these are just a tiny bit nicer.

this thread highlights the flat out insanity that has consumed a lot of you, haha.

5 pages about...spray bottles!? haha

Kwazzers. Worth every penny, I use them for my OPC, Degreaser, & APC. Rest I use Meguiars, they have good affordable sprayers.

You could be right (at least in my case). I have 10 Kwazars! I even went so far as to contact the manufacturer because I wanted 4 yellow Kwazars and AG has no idea if they will ever get them again.

:hungry:

Found Rubbermaid's 32 oz Heavy-Duty Spray Bottle at Target. Again, the sprayer fits onto the Griot's bottles.

I hate the HD bottles, they are complete junk. You get about 7 pumps if you are pumping real fast and then the sprayer goes out. You then have to wait a minute or two till you can use it again. I just bought the spraymaster bottle last week and so far so good. I put acid cleaner in it to test. One thing is, they spray a lot out and use more product.(You just don't have to spray as much.

I completely agree about the HD bottles. The completely suck. I bought about 6 or 7 of them a few weeks ago and the whole sprayer nozzle keeps popping off on me while I pump the trigger. I get about maybe 8 or 9 pumps and the whole trigger assembly completely breaks off the bottle. I almost dropped one on a hood while claying when the trigger fell off. They are getting demoted to kitchen cleaner duty until I can find a better solution. I might just try to get some better quality triggers because the bottles themselves are fine.

those sprayco ones look really cheap and not worth the 1.98 in my opinion. the 1$ walmart ones look better quality...imo the best ones are the gray chemical resistant ones and white ones meguiars has for their secondary bottles(that style not the exact ones) as both of those can be disassembled easy and cleaned out if they ever stop working at peak performance.

I like the bottles at Lowes. Adjustable spray knob is nice. Only couple bucks. Also shows mixing ratios

You say they look really cheap. Does that mean you have tried them and they did not work for you or do you assume that because they look really cheap to you they cannot be any good?

I happen to be frugal/cheap so I shop for the best value when I purchase my supplies. These work great for me so I see no need to spend more $ to buy Meguiars or any other brand name spray bottle.

I actually use the sams club "pro force" 32oz bottles . these are made to compliment the pro force chemical cleaners . if I remember u get 6 bottles with 5 reg sprayers and 1 foaming sprayer . I dont use the foaming . so 5 bottles for like $6 . they have the oz and ratio on side of bottles . yes they are a softer bottle and can like cave in some. it doesn't bother me though . I hang onto the bottles by the neck which is much stronger . I prob have like 15 bottles with various liquids in them , been using for 2 years now and have not had one go bad on me .

ezrida, i have tried them and do not like them, and im frugal as well. read most of my posts and they are trying to save others money. if your frugal you would realize they are overly expensive for the quality, and ends up being cheaper to buy a higher quality spray head as you will not break them as often or they wont mess up due to chemicals as often so in the long run it is cheaper, now i have some cheap sprayers i use but i prefer good sprayers, bottles are bottles no need for special bottles besides ones that can withstand the chemicals you are using. i could care less about dilution marks on the side as bottles can have variations due to different manufacturing tolerances, i like my chemical mixtures to be accurate as possible so i use a dilution calculator which gives me exact measurements. us plastics have some quality sprayer heads for a great price....the zep sprayers from lowes i want to try, they look like they will pump alot more fluid then other ones and seems to be very sturdy, best part is the spray heads can be disassembled for cleaning.

I happen to fit that description to a 'T'. LOL. Well said!

Dang, and I no longer have a Sam's Club Card! Oh well, life's crazy sometimes.

Going to Walmart..

they have some small bottles I use for products where a fine mist is helpful. also good to send people sample size products to try. home depot/ lowes bottles are nice if you need to mix a ratio in them.
