spray wax

3-5 coats of Klasse, I need to step up my game I guess. I do love the stuff though. I use 135 about once a week to maintain and other QD's in between that. LOL I also like the Mothers pure Carnauba as it seems to do well for the money.

I have the advantage of being a school teacher with a couple of weeks here and there to spend on the car. KSG is one of the few sealants I am aware of that really can be layered without the newest coat removing part of the previous coat. I always try to let it cure for a minimum of 12 hours before removing the excess and recoating. Seems to work well.

I honestly wonder if I've got any UV protection at all. KSG is a proven product as a sealant, but I have no idea of it's UV protecting abilities, nor that of the Mothers. CG V7 claims "long lasting UV protection", but man does Chemical Guys ever get flowery with the product claims.

I don't know how much UV protection SG provides, but I can tell you that I've used it on all of my cars for nearly 10 years, and I've never had any fading, oxidation or clear coat failure you might relate to UV damage. That has been in climates ranging from the UK, to Hawaii, to the Mid-west US

Well that's definitely encouraging to know, thanks for posting that tidbit up.

Some of the most enjoyable (not nec longest lasting) spray waxes are IMO:

Prima Hydro
DG Aquawax
Dodo Red Mist Tropical
WG Sprits Sealant
Flitz Speed Wax
1Z Sprüh Wax
Meg's UQW
Griots Spray on Car Wax.

I love them all. More than my children.

If you do have children you can name them Primo, Dodo, Flitz, Meg and Griot.

That is even more hilarious coming from a guy named Paul Mitchell. Does your mom love cosmetics the same way Swanic loves spray wax? :props: I only jest, Paul Mitchell is a solid name.

That is kind of funny and believe me, I've heard a lot of comments about my name. Paul Mitchell hair products was founded in 1980 when I was 33 so I can't blame mom. I once walked into a hair salon to see the manager and when i told her I was Paul Mitchell she almost fainted. I reassured her I was a different Paul Mitchell.

LOL, funny facts (!!), made the discussion more light.

I do like spray waxes and I believe their durability/protection is being improved over time. But I don't rely on spray wax to protect any job, I only use it (MAINLY Meg's UQW) to dry vehicles when I'm in a hurry.

Makes drying really fast and one small towel do the trick. (~4 small sprays for roof / ~2 for hood, ~1 per door, etc (or less), I mean, a little goes a long way). Smell is also intoxicating.

Although I like to do a 'final wipe' with a dry MF just after drying this way to avoid leaving any streaking.

Anyway, effortless.

Kind Regards.
