Hello all. I recently purchased a 2000 toyota tundra with white paint. When i bought it the vehicle had sat undriven for 16 months in a wooded environment. After cleaning including washing,compounding, and waxing i still have dark greenish stains around the body lettering. I have tried compounding with a qtip and doesnt touch it. My question is does anybody have any ideas how to clean those areas without removing the lettering and reinstalling. Imagine mold on white paint around raised body lettering.

You could always do some light wet sanding.

The only product I know use to clean up around badges is Autofinesse Tripple... although it is an AIO, I find that the 'cleaning' ability is really good.
Typically I will use a q-tip to place a decent amount (i.e. I use it WET and not sparingly as you would if you were using it as it was designed to be used) around the lettering. Let it sit for a few minutes, then work it against the paint using a few more q-tips (I change them as soon as they load up with dirt to minimize any damage to the paint)...
I haven't come across badges yet that I haven't been able to successfully clean up this way.... it may be worth a try, although I don't have any idea how effective it would be on your 'green stains'....
And for what its worth, I would only look at wetsanding as your absolute last resort, and even then I would be reluctant to.... how would you compound out your sanding marks in such a small area?
