Started My Garage Rehab!

Any plans of epoxy coating the floor?

I really wanted to epoxy the floor, but it's another one of those things that would have added in more expense, and it just isn't in the budget for now. We need to redo the exterior siding, and there's a long list of things we need to do/want to do for the house in general if you know what I mean.

It's something that I might consider down the road.

(I really wanted it coated, however.)

Well, if you ever decide and want a DIY project, go to Sherwin Williams and don't buy their consumer version. Get the two part industrial one (I believe it is called Tile Clad HS). My 2600sq.ft shop cost me less than $1000 to do. I was buzzing from the fumes so I may have spent a little more LOL!

Might check out Sherwin Williams in the future then. Thanks for the suggestion.

Placed my "TESLA" sign above that window and then assembled a bunch of my cabinets last night. Got done around 1030p, so no pictures yet.

The garage is pretty much finished at this point. I went with Gladiator products because of the reviews, and after looking at them in person while at Sears, I became convinced that it's what I wanted. There was a lot of variability in the line, and I knew I could make them all fit in my garage and create a space that would enable me to do the work that I wanted to do as well as store what I needed to store.

This is the south wall, and it's pretty much the working end of the garage. In the corner are two 72 inch high x 36 inch wide cabinets with multiple shelves. Overhead are two 24 inch boxes with shelves. There's a 6 foot work bench with a rolling gearbox and drawer system under the bench. Workbench has a 6 foot powerstrip. Next to that is a 66 inch high rolling gear locker flanked by a 77 inch wide shelf for bins, etc.

Got my ride parked in the middle of the garage tonight! Sorry, Subaru, you'll have to sleep outside tonight!

Made the TESLA cut out from wood using the miter saw and the scroll saw. Painted white. Sanded with 3000 grit sandpaper on the front end. Affixed to the wall with 3M tape.

Another view of the garage. Look at that Greenworks pressure washer just itching to be utilized!

North wall with a pair of 30 inch cabinets. 120V Single gang below it for a potential wall wet/dry vac. Slightly obscured by the cabinets is the 240V NEMA 14-50 plug for the car.

Would it be wrong to put in a wide-screen TV and perhaps a couch that doubles as a bed?
