I use it for my interior carpet and upholstery, glass, dash, headliner, doorjambs and armrests. I have a beige interior that soils easily, so I have to clean the interior a lot more than I would have to if it was another color. The steamer is a great tool to use in conjunction with interior cleaning products.

Hi Mike,
I attended your detailing 101 class in May of 2011. My first question is what materials did we use, was it pinnacle or wolfgang? What pads did we use (foam)? I have been doing cars under the shade of trees and may have an opportunity to use a bay at gas station that has gone to self serve. I need to know what I need to start a more ambitious detailing business, for instance supplies. I have been detailing cars for years now and have the porter cable and the flex style porter cable and I'm just purchased the flex lightweight circular and have a numerous pads. What else should I get? Customers really like my work. Should I purchase a carpet steamer or wait till I make more money? I will be a one man crew for now and of course none of my clients want the clay bar and then cleaner wax and of course it takes me about five hours to complete a car and I'm pretty well shot at the end of the day because everyone has a black suv!!! I hope you will answer all my questions!!!?? Thanks, Mark Hanson

I don't like my options on this poll. There needs to be an "all of the above" option. I've used my steam cleaner for engines, interior, and exterior in one way shape of form.

I really get use out of it in the winter. Cause around here in NH, you can't really pressure wash an engine in freezing weather. So I take care of it with the steam cleaner inside.

I also can't do as thorough of a wash as I'd like. So I use the steam to get the stubborn areas more to my liking. I also find it handy to loosen stubborn stains before extracting. If I get something bad I'll spray some degreaser, then blast it with the steam to loosen it up. AND another one of NHs great gifts...road salt. Works great to break up crystalized road salt in the carpet. Uses are endless. So, I choose "all of the above", haha.
