I thought I wasn’t getting one but miraculously one came yesterday for my wife, son and I. Not sure what the individual or household income cutoff is but I’m happy not making too much. :). It’s even more like free money when you didn’t think it was coming for months.

For those curious George’s, it’s going to my son’s college/grownup fund.

Same with us...I'm a side job (cash)kind of guy and thank god my wife filed head of household or else we would not have gotten anything....but it's all a bonus because this pandemic hasn't affected us at all other than kids at home all day

I received mine today in the form of a debit card.

How much more did this cost than simply issuing a paper check? SMH.

If I owe federal tax next year, I'll mail it back to them after leaving the exact amount owed on the card.:laughing:

I think the goal switching to those cards is that you have to spend it, can’t just deposit and save it like you could with a check. They really want you to stimulate the economy.

Actually, my wife has already deposited it into our account. Don't ask me how. She is a financial wiz.

It was nice to see a small check in the mail Saturday. From ERIE car insurance. From ERIE: This check represents about 30% of premium for a two-month period or 5% of your annual premium for your policy in-force on April 1, 2020.

Got our 2nd work related bonus this week. And final as far as I know. Small jester that was nice. Figure it will cover gas and groceries.

I don' know why people that are employed are receiving stimulus checks. Especially if they are banking it (not stimulating the economy). This should really be going to people that need it to survive due to being unemployed. I just don't agree w the way the money is distributed. I know attorneys that make close to six figures working part time and are getting money back. I don't feel this is the best use of the money. I think people that need it should get it, and not flat out giving it to everyone. If that's the case, they should give it to everyone. I'd buy a family a months worth of food if they gave me one, I wouldn't bank it unless I really needed it.

Interesting point of view, but this pandemic affects everyone, especially Essential workers who have to go to work, hospital workers , delivery workers, ie USPS, FEDEx,UPS, and other essential couriers, no talks about compensating those who continue to report to work daily and exposed, unfortunately many have contracted coved-19, and some have loss lives , and infected loved ones, how about compensating them, sacrificing their lives for the many who stayed home, to minimize risk ?

The $600 hit my account today. Guess they are still pushing for $2000? Getting a small one from work this month too.

that would involve making sound decision and to have a congress of critical thinkers with brains. Our current legislature is a train wreck of idiots thus why they can't make an informed decision on what to do at a stoplight. sorry for my brutal honesty.

Not to sound ungrateful for something I'm not getting anyway....who out here with rent that's $600. That $600 is half of my eating out budget. I spent $120 on takeout last night. A 1 bedroom apartment here ain't cheap. They gotta do better especially for people that risk their lives everyday.
