im still learning here as well but i can answer a few questions for you.
1) This term "Clay Magic" or "clay lube", what exactly is this?
Clay magic is a brand of clay sold at stores like autozone,it runs about 10 bucks and includes clay lube. Clay lube is generally a quick detailer of some sorts, and as the name implies is used as a lube for the clay. Clay will remove embedded particles in your cars clear coat, nesescary before polishing because those contaminants will break loose and cause more swirls than you already have.
2) The "XMT line"? What is it? Where can I get it and read up on it?
xmt is a line of polishes, there are numerous threads on the boards here that can explain more in depth and better than i can. It is sold here at autogeek.
3) What does LSP stand for?
Last Step Product
4) This "cutting pad" does it do exactly as the name says...cutt the paint? I know that it cuts a layer of the clearcoat but how do you restore the clearcoat by applying Souveran paste wax?
I may be wrong but i believe the "cut" has to do with the softness of the pad.
5) The levels of the XMT line up how many are there and what exacly to they do? How do you know which one to use?
i believe there are 2 levels xmt 3 and xmt 1 or ultra fine swirl removal, and from what ive seen most people run a pass or 2 with xmt 3 followed by 1 and then move onto a pre sealant wipe down
6) If I was to pay someone to do this for me how much would I be looking at? Rough number?
cant help you there
