I've been using Meguiars M105 & M205. Good product. I'd like to try a new brand of product.

What are some of the suggestions yall would recommend?

Menzerna FG 400 and if you want to stay with the same brand SF 4000 or 4500. If they don't have to be the same brand the Optimum Hyper Polish is a great polish IMO. All have great work time and low dusting. Much lest dust than 105,205

If it works for you, why would you need to change?

Change is not always a good thing.

M205/M105 are tried and true but do like to dust. Try HDProducts such as HD Polish and Cut

HD Cut + HD Polish

Menz FG400 + SF4000

Classic Cut + Classic Polish

You can interchange if wanted

Wolfgang Über compound + WG Finishing Glaze/SF4500. Menzerna made Uber Compound so I wouldn't worry about switching it up with SF4000/4500 IMO.

HD Cut + HD Polish

Menz FG400 + SF4000

Classic Cut + Classic Polish

You can interchange if wanted

Is Classic Cut/Polish SMAT or DAT?

Optimum Polish, it's one that can be worked a long time, I get good results on paints that only has minor defects, you can change up pads to get a different cut.
I love that stuff.

M205 is hard to beat so if you like it I'd stick wth it unless you just want to try something else for the fun of having a new product.

I wish I had read of this issue with the dusting of HD polish before I bought the 32 oz. bottle and it seemed a majority winner in my thread:

Mm o well. Time to have dust party!!

As far as compounding I love FG400 cut is great and it finishes down well.
It's damn good stuff. Doesn't need 10 section passes to break down. 4 section passes and wipe off. My favorite finishing polish.

Surprised to hear the comments regarding dust and HD Polish. Only time I ever had a dusting issue with HD Polish was the first time I used it and applied too much product. Since I started using 4 pea sized drops to prime the pad then 2-3 additional pea sized drops per section I've had no dust.
