Now, we did have a few neighbors wondering what was up, but it was mostly people who thought we were having a garage sale. No, Don's 400-towel collection is not for sale.
Man!! What a Night and Day difference James!! Wish I lived in No Cal and helped!! All you guys technique is so0und and great!! Peace!!
Awesome fellas!
Outstanding results on that truck...you guys definitely look like you had lots of fun
Epic encounter and work. Your write-up and pictures take us to the scene, thanks a lot for sharing.
If there wasn't 5 testimonials it would be really hard to believe this results are for real!
Kind Regards.
Thanks everyone. This was my first time working with such a talented crew. I learned a ton and had a blast, and can attest to the validity of the claims made by the photos. The truck looked great!

James is right about the Flex making my HF DA feel...inadequate at best. I'll have to keep my eye out for one of those VIP specials.![]()
Now that is a great write up and job! Awesome work to all!!
Awesome job :xyxthumbs:
Ha Ha. That's not my collection Bryan, that's just what I brought for us to use. Left a few hundred at home. My buddy was in awe of how good his truck looked. Thanks again to the group for making this happen. Was a great way to spend a Saturday!
Excellent work. That paint never had a chance.
Outstanding work Gentlemen! What an amazing job on the transformation of that truck! Nicely done!
Thanks for sharing! Looks like you guys had a blast.
Keep practicing shooting with the new Camera. You will get the hang of it.
It definitely was a great experience and honor for me to work along side by side with everyone on Sat. I do believe the result speaks for itself. Given what we had accomplished....I would like to share a few take-a-ways from this event.
1. Different machines as well as pads were used on the truck but they all got us to the same place. This proves the point .... the best tool is the one we know best. Flex or the Rupes????? what does it matter as long as it gets the job done.
2. Cut with 205 then follow up with a finishing polish. Really???? Yes! Really.
3. It is so much easier to apply a coating using an assembly line method vs doing it by yourself. On any given panel, 5 set of eyes were looking for high spots. All of us commented on how efficient this was.
4. The score is Team AGO Bay Area 1, Tacoma 0.:xyxthumbs:
I am looking forward to the next meeting.
Stellar project guys with flawless results.... almost kind of reminds me of one of our Thursday night projects here at AGO...

Ha ha, garage sale...classic!
Great work on that truck. I aspire to be at that level of quality.
Also, you're totally right about not wanting to stop working to take pictures. I'm the type of person to forget about life once I start working... that means ignoring calls/texts/eating, haha. Often times I have to remind myself that I MUST take pictures.
Thanks Art! Just wondering, are you guys planning another meet n greet?
As of now, I haven't planned anything yet. However, the thought has been creeping up in the back of my mind.
If any other AGO SoCal Detailer has one, you could count me to go participate.
Oh as to Flex vs Rupes??? Hahaha I'm sure you know where Don and I stand :dblthumb2:
You guys did a great job. I wish I had that many people to help me out while I work haha.
great work on the truck, thanks for posting. need to do something like that here for our NC members
What a great read - thanks so much for sharing.
I wish I could do something like that over here with my fellow detailers.... the problem is that the predominant mindset is one of 'every man for himself' and there is distinct unwillingness to adopt the mindset of this forum where knowledge is shared so freely.
If only everyone adopted the 'each one teach one' philosophy I really think they would benefit and so would all of our customers...
Oh well....
