wendys!!!! some of you might have known ive been looking for something for the winter months .and after filling out many applications. and noone getting back to me .wendys called me . yes i have to swallow my pride.and yes ill be the only american working there . and the only one that doesnt drive his bike to work :D. but in this econamy it doesnt matter to me. what matters is that its a paycheck and helps support my wife and daughter ... and its ok .

my pride never over rules my familys need either. good to hear and i am happy for ya.
 
thank you very much!!! most of my friends are company owners .landscaping ect . i would probably laugh at me . but thats ok . just happy to have something for now intill march......

Laugh at their own peril! I have two friends that, less than two years ago, both had $100k+ jobs and plenty of money in the bank. One has filed bankruptcy and the other is about to. You are doing the honorable thing and that is what matters. A man that picks up garbage with a smile on his face is a rich man. Happiness is knowing that you can overcome difficult times by doing whatever it takes. As I have said to many people, I have never gone to bed hungry, have always had clean clothes to wear, have awakened in a warm bed every morning with a healthy body and family. Congratulations on doing what a REAL MAN does when things are tough! You are a hero!

that really means alot to me... thank you so very much ..i have to admit when they called me today i was a little embarresed to have to do this. but after these posts im not anymore .. thanks again.....

Look down on you, heck no. It is a very honorable thing you are doing. There is no such thing as a small job. The only people I have little respect for is those who could work, are able to work, and wont work.

its funny because thew manager at wendysi s really surprised to get an american worker she told me .. i beta brush up on my spanish. as my coworkers are all spanish.. so far i have the bad words down pat:D..

Congrats Tom! A paycheck is a paycheck as long as you are feeding the family doesn't matter who signs it.
 
Glad to see you found work. Nothing wrong with any work, you have a family. It's about them. In stead of you brushing up on your Spanish, your coworkers should brush up on English. If not, hostel work environment. Then you could own a Wendy's.
Just trying to play by their rules, what comes around goes around. After all, this is the USA. Like img said, the check is in the mail. He ran on it, got votes for it, so where's the checks?:D Best of luck to you and your family.
 
Hey man, if that doesn't show how good of a father you are then i don't know what does. I believe those who step up in life, get picked up as well. You're doing a great thing and i respect you for it.

I was reading something about an new Olive Garden that opened up somewhere in North FL. Think think they had 80 openings, and article said hundreds of people lined up to wait. Hey not only extra money for fam, but you can get a Spicy Chicken whenever you want, I'm jealous :D
 
I think it is commendable to see what you have done for your family. I applaud you and will keep you and family in my prayers for 2009. You deserve a winning share in my Powerball Lottery too. (smiles)
