I've been a part of a lot of boards from their humble beginnings, and there is always a maturation process.. kind of a message board life cycle. That other board is perhaps still in its growth phase, but not as fast as this one. Let's all remember this as this board grows and continue to keep the community feel.
Very true but we all have to remember that each on of us was a "noob" at one time. I can't stand it when a new member has a question and all they get is the comment, "Use the search function." instead of taking 4 secs and linking it or answering. Sometimes searching is tough, especially if you are not used to a forum too. I'd hate to loose a new member because of this. Sometime me as well as others just need to step back, take a breath, and do the right thing. Anyone can seem big and bad on a forum; it seems like being nice is the toughest part.
