The COOLEST Wash Sponge Available!

I've got this sponge, I'm hoping to do a rinseless with it next weekend. I'll report my findings when I do

I'm not a fan of using a sponge for washing my cars but this one I think I'd like.
Send me one to test, I'll give a detailed review :)

I wouldn't use a foam jeweling pad to wash my car, so I probably wouldn't use a sponge made out of the same material. However, I could see this being useful certain areas of the car like rockers, wheels that are all "face", hub caps, grills, etc... Maybe even a coated truck bed

Dear hamlyn

I haven't seen this sponge in person, but I'd like to have one because it looks like it might be nice.

But I have used CarPro's wool wash mitt and can affirm that it is of very high quality and is super-soft.

(I wish I could make myself use mitts, but the only way I'm going to do so is to buy a prosthetic hand, screw a paint pole into the end of it, and put the mitt over the hand. If you have a big vehicle or a lot of vehicles to wash, I don't see how you could deny the utility of a soft boar's hair brush attached to a pole.)

Dear Steve

Have you ever tried the Lake Country grout sponge? It feels stiffer than a jeweling pad to me.

No I haven't. I thought I read it was the same foam though used in the gold jeweling pad from LC. Maybe it's the way the foam is arranged or the "pile" that makes it feel stiffer?

How is it holding up? Not sure if you've done much washing since the start of winter.

Once Spring comes (waiting) Ill be able to do durability testes and put this sponge to the real test.

I absolutely love it, purchased a second one for back up:buffing:

speaking of sponges, looks like Dodo has one with a egg carton pattern. interesting.. i would like to try one...

I may have missed this somewhere but if I decide to use this sponge what would be the best technique for cleaning it?

Rinse it out with water and squeeze it. :dblthumb2:

Wish I would've added one to my last order. It's not like AG always has lots of awesome sales or anything though

This had me intriged enough to order one. (Just now). :xyxthumbs: Hopefully it will arrive by the weekend to try out.

Arrived friday. Interesting. Will be trying it out this weekend. That is the IZ Einszett kristall klar washer fluid concentrate next to it. Makes 7 gallons of SUMMER washer fluid. Interested in that product also......

Well.........it was interesting. Been years since i used a sponge to wash. Very comfortable and totally safe to use. It did reach MOST places with ease. And the thing i liked was it really seemed to clean the surface. Now some areas, like the gap below the side bars and the rear bumper caps it struggled. I love my griots garage MF wash PAD. Would this replace them. NO. But for a sponge, this has to be tops.....
