just to clarify - I've always referred to it as a

Peanut Polisher


I called the FLEX 3401 the BEAST

I called the DeWALT 849X the Bumblebee (never stuck but when you look at the pictures I included in my review it does in fact have the visual connection)

I've called the new FLEX 3" Mini Polisher Mighty Mouse

thats all I think...

Just wondering---Is the Griot 3" the smallest polisher compared to the other 3" polishers?

Totally DOES look like a bumblebee.

Okay. I need to get up to date. A flex 3" mini polisher? I got some research to do. Mighty Mouse! I like the name
 
I have used LC Thin pro pads with my G15 with Menzerna 3 in 1 and Megs D151 and couldn't get the results I was looking for, believe this was on the Dodge I recently did...

What pads did you use?

I started out with the orange pad (cutting pad) and the Rupes UHS and bingo! Took out most of scratches within 4 section passes. Made a couple more passes after that and it took out just about all scratches. It was too easy and thought was wise not to push it! Thats how well it worked!

Then on another spot, Used a gray pad (heavy cutting pad) and the UHS, thinking it's gonna be even faster with a heavy cutting pad. No dice! It just fell flat on it's face! Barely removed anything! I was kind of surprised with the results.

So from I am seeing---it's a fine balance between mating product and pads. I just purely lucked out on the combo above.

When you have a chance, should so a series of testing matching up product and pads and find which combo blows you away. In my case---orange thin pro cutting pads mated with UHS.

I use boss pads on my GG3 including the microfiber pad. I have found you need to go up in intensity over the GG6 but can get good results with it. I bought mine for the price. It was 20% off on a deal here and I paid for it with gift certs bought at 20% off. For the price paid it's a great machine.

TMG, do you have an small Rupes foam pads? Would be interested to see how they work on the 3" after using them on my GG6. If not let me know and we'll work something out. Would be worth getting some feedback before I buy another tool.

No I don't have any small Rupes pads. Just the thin pros. I'll get back to you later after the holiday weekend.

Oh, definitely worthy of the Bumblebee name! I pictured that Autobot holding a giant sized rotary. LOL
