The most over-rated products?

Every so often I change waxes, and every time I come back to Pinnacle Soverign for my black cars...

Sonax wheel cleaner, wow what a bust, only thing good about this product is the color. which didn't even change for me.

SON1C why didn't you spray the inner wheel well? Its pretty bad..your wheels other than that must be clean...just trying to help...

First time, so I decided to use it liberally lol

and at the moment I was comparing wheel cleaners just focusing on the wheel not the inner wheel, but you are right they're pretty bad lol, this is a new vehicle and hasn't gotten a thorough detail yet
 
Sonax is way over hyped imo. It changes color, sweet. It smells awful. I was quite disappointed with it myself.
 
I have to agree Sonax is a waste...but only from washing every 1-2 weeks. Some cars may have more break dust, but mine does not put off much. I used Sonax after buying my 2009 Genesis, used and it did great but after that maintenance washes didn't seem to help beyond normal shampoo soap...just my 2 cents
 
I'll give it one mroe shot with some BMWs, but still, thumbs down wont ever buy again
 
Only product I've used that I was disappointed with is Meg's Ultimate Quik Detailer. I find it to be very grabby, difficult to spread around and it bunches up all the MF towels that I use with it. I like Meg's original Quik Detailer and ONR QD strength for when I want to remove a little bit of dust but don't want to do an ONR wash.
 
I would have to say my current disappointment is with Griots wheel cleaner. The damn spray bottle doesnt mist, just shoots a straight jet spray that uses a ton of product...lame

XMT360 - a big letdown for me. Fortunately, I won that and eventually traded it to someone. Strange, because I really like Pinnacle products as a whole.

I have several of Griot's sprayers (about 5) and they are all adjustable.

I am assuming you are reffering to the xmt360 polish? Traded a bottle and am waiting to try and compare it to d151. The xmt360 spray wax however, is an awesome product. Works really rell.

I'm still debating this myself. I've liked using Sonax on some cars and on others it seems like overkill. I find myself really liking OPC for the rims and tires.
