The Next REVOLUTION: The BigFoot Nano w/ iBrid Technology

This is something substantial. Maybe some would call me a Rupes fanboy - but I think I just like new and innovative stuff. If you look around - there are really only a handful of companies coming out with it.

There's is nothing even CLOSE to this on the market. This is an awesome ground-up re-engineering of how small spaces can polished, prepped, and cleaned. I'd like ANYONE to say this is a copy or knock-off of ANYTHING.

This is why you all need to support companies like Rupes - that actually bring new innovations and intellectual property to the market. BOSS fans, don't worry - I'm sure China will follow, with orange copies...But by then, Rupes will be coming out with something even cooler.

What new innovation did Griots bring to Sema??? Did they have anything new?

Looks nice, but I'll say, let's not all fall over ourselves folks, and "hope" that the price is $599, because if it is, I won't be buying one in this lifetime.

I'm not particularly the type, who buys into such marketing of "Let's fly it up a flagpole and see who salutes" sort of pricing on a product if I feel it is not fairly priced for what it is, all marketing hype, and estatic glowing reviews aside.

Maybe I'll wait another 6 months for the "Chinese Copycat" to come out! LOL

As cool as this new tool is, there is a ton of common sense in that comment. I got my 3401 and Duetto gently used at a substantial savings. Had it not been for those opportunities, it most likely would just be a couple extra 7424xp's on hand.

I cannot wait until this tool & the new Mark II Bigfoot polishers are available. Anyone know how much the Bigfoot Nano is going to cost? Now I just have to figure out if I need/want the standard or long neck version. Unless I can convince Mrs. Santa to buy me BOTH 💸💸

Momma has no jurisdiction regarding my car care supplies, as long as her 335i stays spotless, which it does. I will probably buy both when they become available. Have to decide which one I like better by trying them both. Thanks for sticking your hand into my wallet again Rupes.

Ok..... Now I want one..... Or two.

And think if Rupes decides to use this iBrid technology on the LHR 21.........

Mind officially Blown!!!!

Bottom line (for me at least) I am getting one...probably the long neck version. IMO there is no other tool like this on the market. IMO the competition does not have a tool like this. Rupes has everyone beat on this one. All that being said, this does fill a need for everyone regardless if you use a different brand of DA. This DA/Rotary should be in everyone's arsenal.

It isn't very often my blood pressure will rise (unless I see a beautiful woman), however, this tool made my blood pressure rise!! All I can say is Santa's going to be getting me that as I sent him a wish list to the North Pole. I just hope I am on his good list!!

Your reaction is similar to the several thousand people who used this tool at our booth during SEMA. The positive reaction to this tool and its capability has been overwhelming. We knew we designed something special, but even we were surprised (blow away) at the reaction.

Once it was used by people, the next statement was almost universally "I don't care how much it is, I have to have it" or "take my money NOW".

I was waiting out for SEMA to see if there would be a new 3 in polisher to ahem out spec the rupes mini..
This is sooo much better then a boss 3in mini ha!
Def glad i didnt buy a 75e

Think the rerelease of the bigfoot 15mm and 21 mm should have out spec'd the boss 15/21 while doing what ya did.

Was also kind if hoping to see a forced rotation cyclo or something new from cyclo with collaboration between Cyclo /Rupes

In terms of actual torque to the paint, heat, vibration, and comfort we are very confident that the new Mk.II tools are class leading. Many comments were directed towards us that people agreed. Not only this, but also have class leading watts (lower is better, despite marketers in the US praying upon an understandable lack of information for the masses).

Todd,

Any video around of this thing in action? I really like the pneumatic-like depression trigger and the speed adjustment dial in that position. Looks like a lot of thought when into the ergonomics.

A lot of people shot videos of it running during SEMA. I am sure some have already made there way to various social media outlets.

Thank you. We are already working hard on the next mind-blowing technologies :dblthumb2:

And i thought it couldn't get any better and cooler. Will be ordering one for sure.

Thank you very much!

We don't have hard pricing yet. It will initially be offered in kit form with which will is projected to come with the following
tool
12 mm eccentric set
3 mm eccentric set
rotary backing set
30mm backing plate
50 mm backing plate
5 x 30mm blue pads
5 x 30mm yellow pads
4 x 50 mm blue bad
4 x 50 mm yellow pads
150 ml Zephir Coarse Compound
150 ml Keramik Fine Compound
2 x Li-ION batteries
battery recharge station
power adapter
variety of detailing brushes
custom carrying case

The price will be between 500-600 dollars. Very hard to project now as the tooling is being built. From the reaction of the people who have used this tool first hand and the overwhelming number of people who wanted to pre order (or even pay twice as much for the prototypes), we are confident that many people will see the value in an innovative kit with ground breaking technology, built in a first world country by a company that is very obviously passionate about creating solutions to problems.

The long-neck is my favorite. It does everything the short-neck does, and goes more places.

You are welcome!

We are just getting started (seriously).

Thanks for your response.

I would like (if possible) for you to send me those contact details.

I just find it VERY unfair how in Europe we are paying sometimes DOUBLE than the USA price...and there made in EUROPE!

Thanks again.

Is it safe to assume that AG will carry these when they become available?

Upon viewing the pictures of this in action, could Rupes please care to explain the burnt edge?

Maybe this tool isn't safe for the use shown in this pic.

Confirmation from the man himself, YES, Autogeek will announce on the forum when they become available.

It was in the before picture as well. If it were a burn through it would be red/pink...

Dirt? Yes in the first picture, but IMHO in the last what ever they used HAS damaged the paint.

I want to buy this tool, but as per usual the US customers WILL get this cheaper, don't know why when it's made in Europe...still waiting for these details.....

if you look closely at the before picture you can see the damage was there. you see it more in this photo because it's at a different angle and zoomed in.

In the first picture you can see it's dirt.

Look at this pic...it's gotta be damaged. You can see under the red paint.

So, first picture = mud/dirt

Second pic = damage.

I'm not the only person saying this, people are on detailing world and a few other places.

I'm not dissing rupes as I love there tools.

Look at the location of that bolt. It is right where the riders knee would be on the fairing. It looked damaged before it was corrected.

Since Todd carried out the detail on the bike in our booth I'll leave him to speak more to that specific spot, but I can say from seeing the bike up close and personal for an entire week: many spots on it had thin paint from rider wear. This isn't some museum piece, its been ridden and had signs of wear, rubs, etc on multiple points.

Seems somewhat silly to fixate on this in the first place IMO, but if it is being discussed with any kind of regularity I guess the intention of the thread was entirely missed.

No way that's dirt, it's clearly burnt through the edge.

Actually it is not. Parts of this bike were coated with clear film because it is raced on a track and the lip you see (in the before and afters) is where the clear film had PREVIOUSLY lifted from the paint.

Only the lower section was brushed to avoid lifting the clear film more. Hope this clears up any speculation which has been uninformed and incorrect. I did try to gently clean under the lifted clear film to make its appearance LESS noticeable but given the time constraints, I had to settle for an okay job. :dblthumb2:

To be clear... this is what people are claiming was evidently not burned before but burned after... Sorry for any confusion but I thought that the before's and after's, as well as the visible clear bra lines would be fairly easy to see. :)

If fact, this shows how safe the brush I was using as it didn't damage the lifted clear film any more :)
